The veil tore like living flesh. A scream rippled across realities as Seraphine plunged into the deepest fracture, her body dissolving into raw light and shadow. Pain unlike anything she had ever known ripped through her essence, tearing apart the fragile structure of what she had become. Time fractured. Space twisted. For one endless moment, she was everywhere and nowhere. She saw a thousand worlds brushing against one another. Forests of glass. Oceans of flame. Cities floating in endless night. Creatures older than memory drifting between dying stars. And beneath it all The boundary. A vast, luminous web holding existence together. It was failing.
