Irritated

It’s been a week since Mr. Johnson has assigned me and Adrien to do a project. And Adrien keeps brushing me off like he has nothing to do with the assignment whatsoever. He's seriously pissing me off. "How's the project going?" Asked Mel ripping me out of my thoughts. "It’s like working with a unicorn," I said looking at her. "But, unicorns don't exist." She said a little dumbfounded by my comment. "Exactly, and neither does my partner; well that's how he's acting," I said bitterly. Adrien is seriously trying to piss me off. If he thinks I'm going to do the project alone, he has another thing coming. "Well, Jaden and I are doing pretty well in our project," she said, a little relieved. I was kinda surprised she admitted working well with someone. Mel doesn't like a lot of people or being with people in general, so if she says she likes being with you, take that as a compliment because you have achieved the impossible. "Really?!" I yelled in disbelief. "Yeah, he's easy to talk to." "My little girl is growing up," I said in a dramatically happy tone. I started to fake cry and grabbed a napkin to dry my "tears". "I never thought I would see the day," I said, in dramatic sobs. "Hunter stop joking around and let’s go to class!" she yelled and left, leaving me behind. "Mel wait, I'm sorry," I said trying to catch up with her. But that was futile. I then saw Adrien and approached him for the 100th time to talk about the project. I poked him in the back, and when he turned to see who it was, he just shot me a killer glare, basically saying "what-do-you-want". "When are we going to do the project?" I asked him, unfazed by his glare. He just rolled his eyes. Maybe tired of me asking the same answer over and over again. But I will keep asking the same question until I receive the answer I want. "I told you to do it by yourself. Now leave me alone, I'm busy." He said and was about to leave until I grabbed him by his shoulder harshly. He looked surprised at my persistence but then granted it to me once again. His glare was as a small boy was holding a bouquet of flowers with also a flower crown on his head and having a huge smile on his face. That smile used to be so contagious as the other people in the past used to say. "Who is that?" He said in his usual low deep voice. "That's me," I said. A small smile was on my face as I also noticed how my gaze softens at the picture. He looked at the picture and then at me for a few seconds and then proceeded to another picture that stood the same boy with his flower crown, but he's putting a flower crown on a girl. Both their smiles are big and bright. "Who's she?" He asked, pointing at the girl. "Oh that's Melissa," I said and he gave me a questionable look. "Remember the girl you pushed in the cafeteria the other then." "Hn." Was his only answer as he put both his hands in his jacket pocket. I looked at him a little "shocked" at his response. 'Is Adrien Rider secretly an Uchiha?' That was what came to mind, but I immediately dismissed my childish thought. "Now, let’s proceed on our project," I said while signaling him to sit on the couch. He did as told and sat quietly looking all over the living room. He seems to capture every detail in the living room on how he was concentrated. "What do you want to write about?" He only raised both of his shoulders and looked the other way; meaning he didn't know what to write about. I don't know if he's being stubborn or he actually doesn't know. But whatever it is, he's not meeting my gaze. "Do you want to talk about today's society?" I said looking at him. I tried to see what he was thinking about and why he acted nervously, but I came out with nothing. "I don't know, let’s do whatever you want to do." He said looking at his hands and playing with them slightly. "Ok" were the only words I said, as I looked at him playing with his fingers and looking down shyly. "He looks so adorable"
