“Guys! Guys! I have good news to tell!” yelled Jane while dashing towards them. As usual, Akiesha was just there observing the three. She’s unbelievably getting along with these odd trio. She decided that it’s more fitting to join the three, the trio’s well-behaved and will not likely create ruckus in the campus. Hence, the trio’s lowkey profile will help her stir away from trouble. Hara pushed her eyeglasses closer to her eyes with her point finger, meanwhile Shenna was clutching her books to her chest. Jane grasping for breath looked at them with wide eyes. Akiesha was curious of the news she’s going to tell. “The serial killer has been captured just this morning.” She elatedly states as if she was just being released of captivity. Shenna and Hara gaped in joy upon hearing the good news. Akiesha tried to act like it was really a good news so she won’t look suspicious. She definitely missed using her hypnosis power and last night was the first time she used it against a human. Akiesha needs to do something about it as the news of brutal killings spread like a wildfire amongst the town. It saddens her but she needs to stop killing humans for a period. If the news of killings reached her father, Dayabulu will certainly summoned her back in the tribe and that’s the last thing she wants right now. “Wow, that’s definitely some good news to hear. At least, we can now say we’re safe.” Akiesha commented. Hara nodded cheerfully at her. “We’re now free to hang-out after school.” “Speaking of, I have another good news.” Shenna chimed-in to their conversation, her eyes sparkled with mischief. “What is it?” Jane asked in anticipation. “I just got the announcement paper from our school adviser and the Acquaintance party for all students is happening this Friday!” Shenna squealed in joy. Hara and Jane locked their arms, hopped like 5-year old kids, circling her and Shenna. They sure was pumped up with the news. Which confuses Akiesha. What’s with that Aouintance party that they were so happy about? Is this their version of celebrating after a successful hunt like they do back in the tribe? A smile appeared on her face. I’m about to experience human’s way of hunt celebration. Good thing she brought her hunt clothes with her. Acquaintance Day…   Akiesha smiled at her reflection in front of a glasses that displays her image. People call it as mirror. It’s a fascinating thing. Her almond-shaped eyes with round iris was staring directly at her. She’s quite amazed how her human form looked far different from her demon-form after applying the same colored ornaments on herself. Back in her tribe, women paint their faces with the blood of their hunt. They are free to draw any images or symbols they want on their faces. Then, they outline it with a black power made of grinded coals. However, she already drank the last bottle of human blood she stored from her last victim so she used this red liquid and sticky like thing stored in a small glass bottle with a stick-like applicator having these tiny feathers on the end. Hara said to apply that end on her face. Akiesha slightly grimaced at the sticky texture. It somewhat grosses her out. I need to save some bottle of blood for occasions like this. Next, she took the square-shaped thin metal Shenna gave her yesterday. Shenna mentioned that it was an eyeshadow palette. Akiesha doesn’t have the slightest idea about the thing, what matters is that – thing has a dark-round power stored inside of it. She will replace it to the grinded coal to outline the lines she created. She looked at her reflection again and noticed something lacking on her look. It was her pale skin. She took that small bottle again that contains the sticky liquid and apply a generous amount to her mouth. She artificially created a big mouth out of it. She looked again. Perfect.   At the Venue…   Loud gasps, widened eyes, giggles and students whispering with each other were just some of the quirky reactions Akiesha gained as she steps into the venue. “Oh my God, who’s that weirdo?” “Why is she wearing like that? And don’t start with me, with that horrible make-up.” “It’s too early for the Halloween.” “I heard she’s new to the school.” “She’s friends that freaking loser trio.” “Not to mention, she’s the freak who started ruckus in the library against Gilbert.” She has no idea what they mean about those but Akiesha knows for certain that they were mocking her. These low-life creatures’ audacity to mock the great Akiesha! She clasped her fist and stared at them sardonically. Group of students appeared before her, wearing these weird clothing. I wonder if the human population is experiencing fabric supply crisis. Only little fabric was covering their chests. Why are they dressed weirdly? And why are they wearing these boosted shoes creating an illusion that they’re a few inches taller? A blonde girl approached her and looked at her from head to toe with a taunt expression. Her blood starts to boil. Is this pathetic creature trying to disrespect her? “Hey new girl, I don’t know who lied to you that you looked good tonight but you really need to go back at home and fixed your shitty face before you embarrass the whole Monteray Academy with your freak show.” The blonde girl told her with a mocking expression. “And what if I tell you that I don’t care with your opinion, you pathetic creature.” Akiesha hissed at her, approaching the blonde girl closer. Even in barefoot, she was still taller than the girl. The girl started laughing hysterically along with all the other students around her. She didn’t notice that they were all circling around her. She stands there at the center dignified. These weak creatures about to learn a lesson not to mess with her. “Oh my God, I can’t stop laughing. Have you heard what she said? She doesn’t care about our opinions, oh my God, I’m about to laugh again. You’re so funny and the fact that you even called me pathetic. How ironic. The only one looking so pathetic here is you. Who did your make-up? God, it’s so horrible to look at. Did you just randomly applied the lipstick in your face and draw these ugly lines you even outlined them with a black eyeshadow.” The crowd burst in laughter again. The blonde girl continued. “What are you trying to do with your lips? Are you trying to play the ‘IT’ in an Acquaintance Party? You’re too early for the Halloween, you freak. And where did you get those clothes? Just looking at you really makes me sick.  What a disgrace!” The girl rolled her eyes and Akiesha had the urge to took those balls out and blind her forever. But she has to be careful, one reckless action from her and she will be back – living several feet underground. I can’t lose the freedom I have right now. She looked down and curiously thought what’s wrong with her clothes. She’s wearing their tribal clothes. Hers is in beige color, complimenting her complexion almost creating an illusion that she’s naked. Their tribe’s ornaments made of fangs and hardened skin of wild beasts were dripped on the cloth intricately. Everyone rolled in laughter. She eyed them angrily. Still not satisfied, the blonde girl closed the gap between them and suddenly ripped her clothes from her body, leaving her in undergarments in front of the crowd. The whole crowd hollered in jest, yelling, and mocking her! They are provoking her demon. “Akiesha! You guys stop! Leave her alone!” Akiesha heared Hara’s voice screaming at the group. The blonde girl started to walk away from her. Uh-oh, not so fast b***h. She took her wrist, drag her towards her and in an instant, her fist landed on her face. “Disrespect me next time and I’ll do more than punching you in the face. Pathetic.” She warned the blonde girl now covering her nose dripped in blood. The whole crowd screamed in panic. “Report her to the dean guys, you all saw her, she punched Cass in the face. It’s against the school’s regulation.” One of her friends instructed another girl from their group. She just smiled. Regulations my ass. Hara, Jane and Shenna ran towards her and they exclaimed at the sight of her. She arched her eyebrows at them. “You all had a problem with my look?” She asked them with a warning tone. They all shake their heads. “It doesn’t really matter for now but Akiesha, you punched Cassandra. She’s the meanest in this campus, I’m sure that her group will never leave you alone. Besides, you’ve just broken a school regulation, you might get suspended.” Shenna blabbered in panic.  “Guys, you all worry too much.” Akiesha shrugged Shenna’s warnings. Breaking a rule isn’t new to Akiesha. She refuses to be limited by rules and laws. She’s the chosen one, the most powerful demon to ever born and she will make sure that she will not be living herself manipulated. She’s the rule. She’s the very law. “Akiesha, Shenna’s right. Besides, this isn’t the first time that you started trouble. You will be really getting suspension.” The panic on Jane’s voice is too obvious. “Where is that girl? Who’s the girl who punched Cassandra?” A guy yelled from a distance. Hara widened her eyes. “That’s Liam, Cassandra’s boyfriend. He will definitely avenge her girlfriend. You really need to go home now Akiesha.” “Guys, I’m not going anywhere, I’m not afraid of some random guy -” Someone appeared and dragged Akiesha out of the venue. “Hey! Take your hands off of me before I kill you and eat you.” Akiesha annoyingly warned the stranger that was dragging her out of the venue. She looked at the three, their jaws dropped, and eyes widened. “Oh, so you’re into cannibalism now, huh?” The stranger jokingly stated. Akiesha curiously stared at the stranger’s back. Wait, the voice is a bit familiar. Before drawing into conclusion, the guy decided to face her. “Gilbert?!”
