03 | The school.

I can’t believe I agreed to that damn plan! Akiesha infuriatedly thought while walking towards the entrance of her supposed school – Monteray Academy. How did they were able to decide which school should she carry on the plan? She really doesn’t care that much. It could be anywhere on Earth, could be in hell, she doesn’t give a damn. All Akiesha wanted is be freed from her tribe’s nonsense rules and from her Dada’s daily nags about the plan. She was tired of it. Of everything. The plan wasn’t that much bad after all. She can freely roam around the surface without the other demons interfering with her business. Ugh, freedom. Akiesha looked up at the tall building, staring inquisitively at the intricate details and taking a mental note of those so she can apply it on her tribe when she’ll return underground once a month. Part of the plan. The surface where the humans are living are thriving alive, tall buildings adorned the streets, their plants and trees are far different from theirs underground. Akiesha silently sneered. A familiar smirk appeared on her face. One of these days, these pitiful creatures are going to lose their homes and her kind with her leadership will take their rightful place. Damn! Someone dared to bump the great Akiesha. She gritted her teeth and snapped her head towards whoever bumped her. It was a male. A tall male just around her age. The audacious human continued walking as if *bumping* her was just nothing. Lucifer be damned! If only she was taking on her natural form, no one would dare tamper on her. She touched her arm which is now far from her scaled body at home. Her skin now is smooth with tiny unnoticeable hairs on them. No one would suspect that she was actually a fearsome demon beneath. And therefore, these creatures will be forever inferior creatures compared to them. Their skins were so thin, they could get easily pierced. I’d rather be dead than losing her thick-scaled body. Akiesha sighed heavily to compose herself, she will definitely have her little game tonight as a reward for herself. After all, her Dada’s not here to monitor on her. She happily entered the main entrance and was greeted with the maddening noise from these pitiful creatures who just looked like her. Smooth skin, a pair of legs and arms – nothing so special about them. No bones sticking out on their bodies or bodies covered with thick poisonous slime or bodies covered with eyes. They all look distastefully the same. A group of young people approached her with the biggest smile on their faces. She wanted to roll her eyes at them but decided against it. The plan was to get along with these creatures and try to get a clue where is the human that was destined to fight against her. “Hi, are you new here?” a short young brunette girl shoots her the first question. She stared at the transparent thing that was sitting between her eyes. “What is that?” before realizing it, she already mouthed it, pointing at it. The three looked at her in disbelief as if she said something far-fetched. Later, they managed to smile. “Uh, you mean this?” the girl pointed at her eyeglasses. “This is eyeglasses, this helps me see things clearly since I have poor eyesight.” Akiesha snickered at the girl. “In other words, you’re weaker than the normal human?” The young girl looked offended at Akiesha’s remark. The other who looked average backed-up the girl. “Uhm yeah, Hara has weak immune system. She easily catches sickness and gradually losing her sight hehe.” The girl tried to explain but Akiesha was not interested with these weaklings’ business. These people just proved to her that their race was beyond divine intervention, they’re all a hopeless case. “I’m Jane by the way and this is Hara and that girl beside you is Shenna, the most promising student of Monteray Academy.” The girl introduced herself and the other two. Akiesha only nod on them. They stared at her again which infuriates her more. “What?” she snarled at them, crossing her arms on her chest. “Uhm, how about you? What’s your name?” The girl named Hara asked her in an audible voice. Clearly intimidated by her. The Shenna girl was just silently observing the scene in front of her, wrapped in her own little bubble. Akiesha was forced to answer the girl to get rid of these pitiful creatures. “I’m Akiesha, the one who will rule the world one day.” She proudly announced with her head high. Hara and Jane squealed that irked her even more. They were all waving their hands on the air. “Oh my God, you’re promoting women empowerment! Go girl, we will totally rally behind you in your advocacy.” They happily announced. She suddenly felt the urge to snap these girls head off their necks to shut them up. Calm down Akiesha, calm down. These are just bunch of losers, no need to lose your cool on these pathetic creatures. She decided to just look at them and wait for them to finish hollering. When they’re done and felt the embarrassment just now, they just smiled at her like idiots. Akiesha just got another word to describe these pathetic losers. “Anyway, what class are you on? We can take you there.” Jane happily offered. Shenna’s still not speaking beside her. Akiesha justs shrugged her shoulders off. “I really don’t know and what is class? Don’t we all go to the same place together?” She genuinely asked. Her reply earned tiny giggles from the girls. “You’re so weird but we like you. Let me see the paper you’re holding.” Hara giggled and took the piece of paper from her. She looked at them intently, a thought crossed on her mind. What if one of them are actually the one fated to fight against her? Could it be Hara? Or Jane? Or likely Shenna? Scabalo didn’t mention if her rival was a man or a woman, her only clue was someone who was born on the same day and year with her. Nevertheless, it’s too early to judge, she will just observe everyone she’ll encounter and will round-up possible candidates. “Oh, you’re on the same class with us! Must be fate.” Jane said then grasped her arm to bring her along with them. The action vexes her to core and snatched her arms away with strength. They were all shocked. Akiesha realizing her actions, she cleared her throat. “I don’t like it when someone does that.” Hara and Jane lowered their heads. “We’re sorry Akiesha.” Meanwhile, Shenna was just staring at her. Akiesha was bothered at the way Shenna’s staring at her. She will definitely keep her eye on the girl, something’s off with her. Hara and Jane started walking with her and Shenna following them. She tried to memorize every face that she passed by. Akiesha tried to let her intuitions speak to her but she doesn’t feel something peculiar yet. What she should expect? Entering this school might just be a huge hint, the surface is too large. Her rival could be living in the opposite continent or could be in an isolated island. Her mission’s definitely not easy but she’s Akiesha, everything is possible for her. Just as they reached the end of hallway, her eyes caught a glimpse of a familiar figure. After realizing who it was, her blood started to boil. It was the man who bumped her earlier. She quickened her pace to follow the jerk but a group of people started running towards their direction blocking her from the guy. She swear to Dayabushka, these creatures annoys the hell out of her. These creatures are weak and pitiful and the only thing they can do is to be so damn annoying!  Akiesha can easily wipe off these people in one blow and burn these useless building to the ground . And Dayabulu forgive her if the coming days, she can no longer hold herself back and turn into a horrendous demon that she is and teach these low-life creatures a lesson not to mess up with the great Akiesha! When the area’s already clear, she craned her neck to see if the man was still there. But she lost him already. Great, just great!
