Raiding The Horned Monkeys' Den

1046 Words
I headed back towards the lake again. this time I had some plans in my mind. The game was designed to let each player reach level ten in two days approximately. Then each player would leave the map and go towards the villages. That wasn’t my plan, as I knew that was a trap made for those who were narrow minded. My target was to clear this place from monsters and reach level ten as fast as possible. After I managed to reach that level, I would have the ability to establish my territory here. Everything would start by a little spark, and my spark was waiting for me at the end of the level ten. So I headed back towards the lake as I intended to start clearing monsters from there outward. One day I would return to that lion and grab his life with my sword, however that wasn’t for now. My sword in hand was weak sword that would crush soon. So I put one of my targets to replace it. the easiest way to gain any equipment here either by killing herds of monsters or by opening treasure chests. And I planned to do both. My return journey was void of anything worth mentioning, as monsters seemed to yet fear the lion. I knew that wouldn’t last long, so I hastened my steps towards the lake. Once I began to see it from far, I didn’t delay and started to use my fearsome skill “Black eye skill.” Suddenly the whole world turned foggy white with some black dots that were moving separately towards me. I realized the deterring effect of that lion had vanished, and I didn’t panic when I noticed the approach of over ten monsters towards me. Instead I was glad, this way I could test my skill over them. The nearest one to me was almost twenty meters away from me, so I didn’t hesitate and cancelled the skill. at the same time I raised my sword and began to run towards it. It was a big monkey with bare strong pair of hands. he had two horns on top of his head. I didn’t need any skill to tell me its level, as this was the horned monkey, a well known and very familiar level four monster. This monster used to have around five hundred Hp. It was time to test my strength and my attacks on it. the monster didn’t seem to be afraid of me nor my sword, as once I got near it, it began to yell and hit its hairy chest with its strong fists. It was ready to attack me. this monster was famous of its strong attacks, weak defense, and moderate speed. This was a perfect combo to test my powers on. the first thing I did wasn’t to use my skill or my sword, however I used my foot technique as I moved rapidly towards it. My move seemed to irritate this monster, as it roared angrily before it moved to hit me with its two hands. however its hands were destined to hit the air. I managed to move with great flexibility evading its attack and its huge body as I turned around this huge body with mine. I was like dancing with it, a dance that would end eventually by this monkey’s death. This time I used my sword as I simply inserted it into the monkey’s body. my sword pierced its shoulder and a two figure number emerged from its head. “52.” It was way lower than my initial attack value. This difference came from my weaker level and its defense. This number wasn’t bad for me, as this way I simply needed to pierce it for ten times and it would die. But this monster wouldn’t let me do this simply without any retaliation, and keeping the foot technique for long time wasn’t a good solution either. I had no choice except to use my other skill, sword shadow skill. “Sword shadow skill.” My sword suddenly turned into a flash that couldn’t be seen. The time needed for ten strikes to land over the body of this monster got shortened greatly by this skill. It was like I stood there motionless and the body of that monkey kept receiving wounds out of nowhere. It was magical, and the most amusing part was the long row of damage that emerged above the monster’s head. “52-104-52-52-104-104-52” It didn’t take more than six more strikes for this monster to fall under my blade. The monster’s body fell on the ground heavily and a sweet sound appeared in my ears. ‘System notif: Player has killed the horned monkey monster, level five monster.’ ‘System notif: Player got One hundred XP.’ It wasn’t a great XP like that elite I killed, however it was passable. I looked at the huge body of that monkey. As long as I didn’t use a collection skill over its body, the body would vanish in one day. As long as the body of the monster was there, monster wouldn’t respawn again. so this was like an insurance for my safety, but I regretted not having any collection skill with me right now. I would have gathered many materials from this monster or that elite that I killed before. This monster didn’t drop anything else, which was normal for monsters on this side of the lake. If I wanted more drops then I must fight at the other half of the lake. That would happen, but another time perhaps. Right now I used my trump card skill again. “Black eye skill.” I then noticed the approach of two more monsters to my location. They were less than fifty meters away. I still had some time left in my skill, so why should I waste these seconds without using my skill over these monsters? I was a kind and generous person, as they were running to me, I began to rush to them. in less than three seconds I saw them, another two horned monkey monsters. It seemed I was located near a horned monkey monsters den. If there was a den, then there must be a leader, a stronger and unique monster that led them all. And that also meant there was a treasure chest near the den location. Den’s treasure chests were famous for their equipment drops, so this way I could solve my most immanent problem right now, which was my trash sword.
