Chapter 15

The next morning I am sitting with Olivia in her room. The room is gorgeous, decorated in Lavender and silver decor. She even has a princess bed. I'm so jealous, although my bed comes with a gorgeous man. I am in slacks and another blouse with my curls loose this morning while Olivia is in jeans and a shirt, she says she doesn't need to impress anyone, lucky b***h! We are drinking our hot chocolate and coffee in her bed with the twins laying on the bed cooing at the stuffed animals we placed around them, while Raul is hold up in his home office and works. “Oh my gosh, you should have seen her, Olive, she was literally a b***h in heat, I’m pretty sure that if I wasn’t there she would have tackled him to the ground and started humping him” she sprays her coffee out her mouth all over me and then starts laughing and coughing. “Oh my goodness, it couldn’t have been that bad” I give her the 'Yeah right' look “It was worse, the whole evening she sat there and glared at me” she rolls her eyes and starts tickling the twins tummies “Well lets cheer mommy up, we’re need to get ready as we’re going with Raul’s mom to go wedding dress shopping and then Raul’s joining us for a lunch”. We spend the next half an hour getting the twins ready and packed and then getting ready ourselves, we agreed to meet Mãe by the car, we then pack the car and all climb in then we’re off “Leah, honey, I just want to apologies for Celestes behavior last night, I am good friends with her parents and I didn’t realize that they would bring her, i certainly did not extend the invite to her” I am relieved that Raul’s mom didn’t intentionally invite an ex, I smile at her “It’s ok Mãe, but I don’t want to be rude but could I ask that she not be invited to the wedding?” she pats my knee and smiles “Her parents have already taken care of that problem, they were embarrassed by her behavior and have decided that they are taking her to a tropical island holiday, they are planning to leave this evening” Well doesn’t that cheer me right up and it's like the sun has come out from behind the clouds.

I could have sworn that I kept seeing that Celeste b***h everywhere we went, I decided not to voice my concerns because she was leaving town that evening, I hope. After the day I had with the dresses, flower choosing, cake choosing, just so much choosing, that the thought of Celeste left my mind. The rest of the two weeks rushed by because we had so much to do and things to plan out, oh my, if i didn't have Olivia here with me i'm pretty sure i would have gone insane. The night of the rehearsal dinner has arrived, I am wearing a beautiful white jumpsuit that has straps go over my shoulders and do a twist at my back, my hair is a messy braid over my shoulder and i have the barest makeup on, Raul is wearing tanned slacks with a white button down that just sets off his natural tan so perfectly. I am at the head of the table with Raul on one side and Olivia on the other side, I actually felt a little at peace. Olivia is wearing a gorgeous silver boob tube and skirt that is short in the front and long in the back with her blond bob all sleek and perfect. “I’ll like to say a few words” i look up and see Andrew getting up, he's Raul’s best man and im glad hes here for Raul, as he stands up the crowd hushes and Raul places his hand on my thigh in obvious nervousness over what is about to be said “I’ve known Raul since college, he was the most driven, creative and toughest man I knew and with age he’s just gotten more driven, more creative but a little les tough in his old age” there were a few snickers “but that’s the thing, he didn’t slow down to smell the roses anymore, trust me there were many roses to be smelled” a few men do that chanting thing men do and I look at Raul who shrugs and I turn back to give Andrew a frown but ignores and carries on with his speech “but I once again spotted the loving man I once knew come back out every now and then and i then I figured out a girl was involved” then men grunt again, I just roll my eyes “I met Leah after she had the twins and even after the toughest battle a woman faces she looked like a superstar and I knew she was the reason Raul was back, so Leah, baby, here’s cheers to you may you always bring out the best in each other” everyone stands up and raises their glasses and so, we follow suit, i got to admit he had me in the first half. Then after some drinking and clapping Raul stands up and the crowd hushes again to listen to him “I would just like to thank everyone for coming out to join us tonight and thank you all for helping us celebrate this joyous occasion” he turns slightly and looks down at me “I would also like to thank my almost wife for giving me three most precious gifts of all” some people gasp and my eyes grow large and I almost panic, i really hope he finishes before I have the aunties planning a baby shower for me “Two being the twins and the one being my wife-to-be herself, she makes the world become vibrant again and she’s what the English would say, a keeper” he smiles down at me then grabs my hand and kisses the back of it and then there is a loud wolf whistles and I can feel the blush creeping in my cheeks and the ladies start fanning themselves which causes everyone to laugh.

I am so glad that she is enjoying herself and that she was being accepted by my family and family friends. She looks radiant with her pale skin against all the tanned locals surrounding her. I am so afraid that she will be scared enough to run so I have told my mom that we need to keep the dinner in English to keep everyone feeling welcome. I feel bad that the ceremony is going to be in mainly Portuguese but I made sure that both Leah’s and my vowels will be in English so she can understand how sincere I am about this marriage. I can’t believe that this time tomorrow I will have a family consisting of a beautiful wife and two babies. I kiss her again during starters just because I can and when she has to feed the twins one last time before they go down for the night, I go with her, i lead her into the restaurants lounge that is currently vacant, she sits in her chair with Tatum and i sit next to her with my princess Rory, we bottle feed the twins with her breast milk that she has already pumped earlier. I won’t admit it to her but I am worried about Celeste, she really rattled me when she behaved like that at the engagement dinner. I've added more protection detail to both Leah and the twins, I would rather be overprotective than sorry. We join the dinner party again as we place the twins in their strollers next to me and Olivia, we continue with our dinner party and after dinner I kiss Leah good night at her door, following the tradition of not seeing your bride the night before. My heart was at peace knowing that the next time I see her she’ll be my bride, she’s sleeping with Olivia tonight. If I had my way I would say skew it but Leah really wants to do everything right so I gave in, I sigh and walk alone to our room.
