OK, so nearly falling to my death had been terrifying. If I hadn’t been in wolf form, I would have been screaming like a little girl if I were being completely honest. But other than that unexpected problem, I do not regret rescuing Calliope.
I’m hoping that spending time together in such close proximity over the next week and a half and pretending to be hopelessly in love with each other might lead to actual love. Rain hopes it’ll work, since rescuing the princess and then claiming her hadn’t been enough to make her love us, apparently. She is steadfast about meeting her fated mate before she’s willing to commit to me. Or to Lance for that matter.
