That Thursday afternoon, Haley watched as Sam carefully closed the door to her car and settled by the open window. They had previously made the arrangement Tuesday night on their drive to the Carrillos seeing as Sam's older sister was still in town and Haley insisted that she could drive her almost lover to work. She won against Sam's passionate rebuttals, saying she could just walk instead of bothering Haley.
