Sam woke up with an extra dose of sweetness in her smile. She looked vibrant, she felt vibrant even if her bed hair was sticking out to different places and her face probably had little creases from the good night's rest she had just awoken from.
The sun was up and gleaming beneath the thick clouds, the birds were not chirping, it could be freezing outside again and there was racket somewhere in her house and yet, Sam was undeterred. Nothing else mattered but the fact that she and Haley had official met and the latter seemed to be equally fond of her.
Yesterday was a beautiful day. It was a milestone, and Sam was grateful that everything had been talked through and there was no hiding anymore.
