What is taking Rae so long. It felt like I had been pacing for hours when my watch told me it had only been a few minutes. Hopefully Rae can convince Alex to help Darren. Alex was Darren’s last hope. How funny it is that a witch is the last hope of a werewolf. Maybe things could change.
I glanced at the door to the hospital for the hundredth time. James kept the car running ready to go at a moment’s urgency. I hadn’t filled him in completely but he knew whatever we were doing was important. I looked up one more time and saw Rae with her brother in tow coming out of the hospital entrance. Alex stiffened when he saw me. I suppose that is only natural. He doesn’t trust me and has no reason too. I wonder if Rae told him about me being her mat
