Just as they were getting in the car, she froze.
“Hello, Riley,” a tall man said to her, his blue eyes blazing.
Riley just stood there, blinking, feeling… violated somehow. She could feel her arms vibrating with panic.
Riley may have been frozen to the spot, but Gabrielle was not. She was holding her GLOCK in her hands, trained on the guy. “Orson,” she warned. “Back away slowly, keep your hands where I can see them at all times.”
