I stormed out of the doctor's office, the paternity test results clutched in my hand. Raymond followed closely behind, his eyes fixed on me.
"Now you know the truth, Sophia lied to you," I said, my voice trembling with anger. "It was true that I met with her, but—"
Raymond's phone rang, cutting me off. He answered, his expression darkening.
"Hello?" he growled.
Sophia's sugary sweet voice drifted through the line, though I couldn't make out her words.
"Where are you right now?" Raymond demanded, his tone harsh.
"Okay, I will be right there,just hold on" he said, already walking away.
I watched, incredulous. How could he dismiss me like that? We didnt even talk about the baby.
