Alicia's pov :

"Licia, are you not going to school?" Mom yelled

"Mom I'm almost done. Just give me few seconds" I yelled back

I checked myself in the mirror for the last time, before going to join mom at the dining

"Good morning mom" I greeted

She smiled. Mom served my breakfast and I ate quietly

"Licia" mom called

"Yes mom" I replied

"When is your sleepover?" She asked

"I don't know but I will confirm" I answered

"Do confirm" she replied

I focused on my food

"Licia" mom called and I had to raise my head up

"Yes mom" I answered

"I have something to tell you" she said

"Ok mom" I replied

"I will traveling next week"

"What?!!! Mom, you're traveling?" I asked

"Yes darling. It's urgent" she said

I couldn't utter a word. Mom wants to travel?

I wanted to say something but I was interrupted

"Licia!!!" Maya yelled

Gosh that girl is something else

I stood up and kissed my mom goodbye. I took my bag and went outside

Why do I have a feeling mom is hiding something??

Bethany's pov :

I watch her leave. I know she has a lot of questions to ask me but I will try as much as possible to hide the truth from her until the right time.

The truth that I am not her mother. The truth is that she's leaving Detroit soon.

After I met with my friend Mi-Hi, I realized the truth will soon be revealed sooner or later.

Mi-Hi kept stalking me. She wanted me to talk to her. I know she knew I was the one that day but she played along with me. Now I have no option but to hear what she has to say.

I put a call through to my friend and after talking to her, I realized I needed to visit Korea and make things right.

Talking to Licia's mom on the phone yesterday, made me sleep peacefully at night. I have been waiting for this day. For the day I will have to meet with her real parents again after so many years.

She seems to remember me and the deal we made, making it easier for me. She said she tried getting in touch with me after some years but she couldn't, considering the fact that she didn't have my contact and I have also changed my name.

She said it will be nice to see me in Korea and that's where I am going next week.

I just hope Licia takes the news well when I finally tell her

Alicia's pov :

I got outside to see Maya pacing around

"Hey" I cooed

She turned to look at me

"Do you have to call me that way" I rolled my eyes

"Sorry" she replied

"Hey you don't have to apologize" I said

"I'm so sorry for what I did yesterday. I was so angry. I never mean to put it on you" I added

She smile

"I understand Licia. I know how much you will miss Delaney. I will miss her too" she said

"I talked to my mom and she said I can attend the sleep over" I giggled

"Really. I'm so happy" she said hugging me

"I'm happy too. We had better head to school. I wouldn't want us to be late" I said

We stopped a taxi and boarded it

"I prepare chocolate cake to strawberry" Delaney said

We are sitting around a table in the cafeteria. She was arguing with Dahlia. Everyone seems to support Dahlia. She turned to face me

"Licia, which do you prefer?" She asked

"Well I prefer chocolate" I replied

Delaney screamed happily

"I knew it! I knew someone will support me" she said

I nodded

"Well girls I have something to tell you" I said

They raised their heads to look at me

"My mom agreed to let me join you girls for the sleepover" I said

"Are you serious?" Delaney asked while the others kept staring at me

"Yes. When I got home last night. I kinda ask her if she will let me and she said yes" I answered

"That's great news" Delaney said

Everyone nodded in agreement

"Since we all will be available for the sleepover. We can make it tomorrow then" Delaney said

Everyone nodded in agreement

"I will tell my mom when I get home' I replied

"Why don't we go shopping after school?" She asked

"That's a nice idea"

"I love it"

I was happy, we will be going shopping together.

"Creating an awesome memory is all I want now" I thought

The sound of the bell jolted me out of my thought

"Licia, you and Maya should meet us after school" Delaney said as she made to stand up

"Ok" I replied

We made our way back to class

"Let's pick that one" I pointed at a chocolate chips

"Yea, and that one too" Delaney replied

Someone groaned. I turned and it was Maya

"Gosh can we talk about other things not related to chocolate" Dahlia said

Daisy chuckled

"I kinda like chocolates too" she said

"I love strawberries but since when we came in here not even a single strawberry chip or Cake has been selected, that's not fair!" Maya whined

"I feel your pain" Daniela replied

"Me too" Daina said

"Me three" Dylan added

"Hey, you can take as many strawberry cakes, biscuits, and chips. Anything containing strawberry that you want" Delaney said

"Really?" Maya asked

"Of course" Delaney replied

Maya shrieked happily, jumping up in the process. I laughed

I can't believe God has blessed me with not just one friend or two but seven!. Seven good friends. Friends I never knew I will end up with

I watched them pick whatever they want for the sleepover. I couldn't help but smile at how happy they were. How happy I am too.

"I think we are done shopping" Dahlia said

"We haven't ordered for cakes yet" Daisy said

"But they do have cakes here" I replied

"Yea but there's no chocolate cake" she answered

I smiled

"I have a perfect place for that" I replied

"Where?" Delaney asked

I walked closer to Maya, holding her

"Maya's mom has got the most delicious cake you can think of" I replied

"Really Maya?" Delaney asked

"Yes. My mom bakes different kinds of cakes and pastries. I bet you don't wanna miss that'' she replied

"Can we get it delivered by tomorrow?" Delaney asked

"Why don't we go confirm" Maya replied

"That's a great idea"

We paid for the things we bought and were transferred into the booth. We entered the car and the driver, whom I finally know to be Daniel drove us to Maya's mom's pastry shop

Driving there was fun. We couldn't stop talking. We got there after a few minutes. Maya's mom, as she always does, welcomed us well. She gave us some strawberry and chocolate cakes to eat

"Your mom is really nice" Delaney said

"Yea. And her strawberry cake is wow" Dahlia said

"You should taste her chocolate cake" Daisy replied

We were so happy, seated together and talking. We totally forgot about our problems.

Delaney and Maya went to talk to her mother. They came back a few minutes later happily.

"She has agreed to get us two strawberry cakes and two chocolate cakes for our sleep over without taking a dime" Delaney broke the news

"Wow!" We shrieked happily

"That is nice of her" Daisy said

"She said that's her own way of contributing" Delaney said

"That's because we reminded her of her teenage days" Maya said

"Now we have everything we need for the sleepover" Daniela said

We nodded

"I think we should go. It's late and won't want Licia's mom to be worried" Maya said

Tomorrow is gonna be fun!!!
