Delaney's pov :
"Delaney" she called
She pulled me into a hug
"I'm sorry dear. I'm so sorry. I had no choice" she said, all in one breath
I sigh and withdraw from the hug
"Where are the twins?" I asked
"They are in. They've been so worried about you" she answered
"Delaney!!!" Adrian yelled running towards me with Adrianna trailing behind
I bent down to hug them. I miss them so much
"You're back" Adrianna cooed
"Yes I am"
I stood and held their hands
"Let's go in" I said
We entered and I sat on the couch
"Delaney" mom cooed
"Adrian, Adrianna go to your room, I will come check on you" I said
"Promise?" She gave me her pinky finger
"Sure"
I touched her finger with mine. She jumped up happily before dragging Adrian away. I smiled
"We need to talk" I said to mom walking towards the stairs
She trailed behind me until we got to my room. I opened the door and we entered. I sat on the bed. I gestured her to sit beside me and she did
"I met a friend and she made me understand a lot of things" I began
"She made me understand there are reasons for everything we do and it's necessary to hear others out before judging them"
I turned to face her
"Mom I know you have reasons for hiding the truth from me and I'm ready to listen when you're ready. I was naive , that's why I ran out of the house. I'm so sorry mom" I said
She pulled me into a hug
"No princess, I should be the one saying how sorry I am for hiding it from you and making you cry" she said
I withdraw from the hug
"Where is dad?" I asked
'He went to the police station. I should call him" mum answered
She picked her phone from the stand and dialed dad's number. They talked for a while before finally dropping the phone back on the stand.
I feel so relieved, thanks to Licia. I should say a thank you to her when I get to school on Monday.
"You must be hungry!" Mom said
"Kind of" I smiled
"I will prepare your favorite" mom said and made for the door
"Mom" I called
She turned and look at me
"Will I be going to Korea with that woman?" I asked
She walked back to the bed and sat beside me
"Princess, we've denied you the love of your real mother and will not want that to happen again. If you want to go with her, then you can. I promise to keep in touch with you" she said stroking my hair
"Mom, I don't know if I want to go with her or not but just know that I love you, dad, Adrian and Adrianna" I replied
She smiled and pecked me on my forehead.
"I will go check on the twins" I said and she nodded
I ran out of the room and went to meet the twins. They were arguing as usual
"Hey cuties" I cooed
Adrianna ran to me, while Adrian walked elegantly to me. I smiled
"Delaney, will you watch a movie with me? Adrain wouldn't budge" she complained
"Big sis, let's play games together" Adrian held my hand
I bent down, holding their hands
"Why don't we watch the movie together then we can play games later" I suggested
Adrianna shrieked happily while Adrain rolled his eyes
"Adrianna you won" he said walking back to the bed
Adrianna ran after him and jumped on him. Soon, they were playing happily. I smiled and walked to the bed.
"Hey" I cooed and they stopped
I sat on the bed. I switch on the laptop and we began watching

A knock on the door disrupt our movie
"I will get the door" I said
I stood up from the bed and walked to the door. I opened it and Bethel was standing.
"Ma'am food is ready. You should come downstairs with the twins" she said
"We will be right there" I replied
I turned towards the twins
"Food is ready. We should go eat and come back to watch our movie" I said and they giggled slightly
We went downstairs. Mom and dad were already seated
"Dad" I cooed
I have missed him so much. I ran to him and give him a hug
"Hey" he laughed
The twins came for a hug too. We sat down and food was served. I must say the food was delicious

MONDAY MORNING
"Mom, I'm off to school" I yelled, arranging my lunch box.
"Bye honey. Stay out of trouble ok?" She yelled back
"Sure mom" I replied and finally carried my bag
I went outside and Daniel was already waiting for me
"Good Morning Daniel" I greeted happily
"Hmmmm, someone seems happy today" he said
I smiled
"Yes I am" I replied
He opened the door for me and I entered. Driving to school was fun. It was interactive. I never knew I was missing a lot being a bully. Thanks to Licia.
The car parked and I came out
"Have fun at school miss" Daniel said and I smiled
"I will. And do take care of yourself too" I replied he smiled.
I waved at him while watching him drive out. I waited until the car was out of sight before heading inside
"I should go look for Licia" I thought
Alicia's pov :
"Licia eat up you're running late" mom said for the umpteenth time
I smiled. I think I woke up on the right side of the bed. I felt really happy. I shoved the last bite of bread into my mouth and chewed it up slowly.
I gulped down the remaining tea and finally stood up
"Princess" she cooed
She touched my hair and played with it
"Stay out of trouble ok?" She said
"I will mom" I said
"Bye darling"
"Bye mom"
I walked out of the house to see Maya already waiting
"Hey best" I cooed
"That's not a proper way to greet Licia" Maya said playfully
I smiled
"Good morning beautiful Maya" I said sarcastically
"I sense the sarcasm" she answered back
I chuckled
"You seems happy today Alicia" she said
I nodded in agreement
"Wow I'm so happy too" she said
"Let's go Maya. I won't want to start my day with punishment" I said and she smiled
"Let's get a taxi" she replied
We boarded a taxi to school. We kept chatting all through the ride to school. The car finally came to a halt in front of the school gate and we alighted. I brought out money from my bag and paid the taxi man
"Let's run" Maya suggested
"No, no" I replied
"Last person to get inside" she yelled running
I had no choice but to join her running. We ran into the school premises panting and looking like a lost dog
We looked at each other laughing. I placed my hand over her shoulder walking inside. Students kept staring at us
We got to our locker and picked up some books.
"What are you having first?" I asked
"Mathematics" she replied
"Wow!! We are both having mathematics then" I said
She clutched her hands together and placed it below her chin, blinking her eyes rapidly and twisting her body slightly. I laughed
"Let's get to class miss" I said
"As your lordship pleases" she said with a bow
I hit her playfully
We walked to the class. Everyone kept stealing glances at me. I wondered why
I walked to my seat and sat. Maya also sat beside me. We were chatting quietly when someone walked in.
I raised my head to see Delaney. She scanned the class looking for someone. Her eyes landed on me and she smiled.
"Alicia!" She called running towards me
Before I could say anything, she pulled me into a hug
