I heard the sound of a ringing phone from my sleep. I felt so sleepy to stand up. I ignored the call and made to continue sleeping when the phone rang for the second time.

I checked the phone and it was the detective. So i picked the call

?Good day Ma'am, I am downstairs

?What?. Is it noon yet?

?Yes ma'am, it's 10 minutes past noon

?Oh my God, I'm so sorry I slept

?You seem tired, I will just wait for you while you get prepared

?Thanks detective, I owe you a lot

?you're welcome. Let me leave you to get dress

I dropped my phone and made to stand up when the phone rang. It was Chin-Hae. I dropped the phone

"I will call him when I get back" I thought

I quickly went to the bathroom for a quick shower. I got dressed in a black silk dress and stiletto heels. I picked my phone and purse and went downstairs

I was already down the stairs when my phone rang again. I checked and it was Chin-Hae. I wanted to ignore but he wouldn't stop calling, so I picked the call

?Umma!! You left without a goodbye

?i'm sorry son, it was urgent

?Urgent? You say urgent. Umma what is so urgent that you can't say a simple goodbye

?Come on, I told you I'm sorry stop being a cry baby

?Umma I don't understand, why have you been so cold towards me. What have I done wrong?

I touched my hair in frustration. I am sorry Chin-Hae. I just need to find your sister

I walked to the waiting car and entered, the car zoomed off.

The drive to the school was a bit lively. The detective gave me updates about the girls and indeed they are similar to the one I gave.

We finally got to school. 'Golden High school, Detroit" was boldly written. The car was parked and we went straight to the principal office

"Good day ma'am, welcome to Golden High. How may I help you?" The principal said immediately I stepped into his office

"Good day sir" I greeted

"Good day principal" the detective greeted

"Oh detective Jake, nice seeing you again" he answered the detective

"You may have your sit" he said

We sat beside each other and opposite the principal

"We are here for the girls I told you about, she will love to see them. Alicia Kings and Delaney Daniels" the detective answered

"Ok detective"

He stood up from his chair and went outside. I was so nervous. Nervous of seeing them. He entered few minutes later

"They should be here in few minutes" he said and I nodded like a puppy

We waited or rather I waited anxiously for them. Few minutes later one of the girls came in. She looks really pretty I must say

"Good day sir, good day ma'am" she greeted

I smiled

"Where is Alicia King" the principal asked

"I don't know" she answered

The principal looked very angry

"I will be right back" he said before storming out of his office

Alicia's pov :

"Alicia kings" the principal called angrily

I turned to face him. He was so angry I had to take my eyes down

"Follow me" he said coldly

I followed him like a lost puppy looking for its owner. We got to his office and entered. He walked straight to his seat and I stood close to Delaney.

"What's she doing here" I thought

"Hi" I mumbled

She didn't answer, instead she scoffed. I dropped my face to the floor feeling nervous.

"Hope she didn't report me" I thought

"This is Delaney Daniels and Alicia Kings" the principal pointed at Delaney before pointing at me

I raised my head to see a woman staring at me. She looked shocked.

"Do....do...do I know you" she stuttered slightly

"No ma'am, I have not seen you before" I replied nervous

She kept staring at me like she saw a ghost.

"Ahem!!!" The principal cleared his throat

The woman quickly took her eyes away from me. She faced the principal.

"Thank you Mr Jones" the other man said

"You are welcome detective" principal answered

He's a detective?. I was damn scared. Have done nothing wrong right?. Nothing to warrant being taken by a detective.

He whispered something to the woman and she smiled looking at me.

What?!!

What are they talking about? Why is she smiling?

I saw Delaney smiling also. Wait, does she know them? Are they trying to hurt me?

The man cleared his throat before speaking

"I know you both might be wondering why you are here?" He started

"Well this woman here is Korean and she lost a child about your age. We actually think one of you is her daughter" he said

I let out the breathe I never knew I was holding

Are they kidding me?Are they damn serious or what?

"I don't get you?" I said sounding nervous

She looked at me smiling

"Young girl, what he is trying to say is that one of you is my daughter and I need a DNA test to know which of you is my real daughter" she answered

I rolled my eyes

"Well I don't think that's necessary, first, I'm not Korean, second I know my mother and thirdly we don't even look alike" i blurted out

"Well darling you look Korean, and I guess you are one. All I need you to do is bring your parent tomorrow to school so we could talk" she said

"Hell no, my mom is too busy for that, she won't make it" I answered nonchalantly

"I don't want to hear any word from you" the principal yelled and I kept shut

All this while, Delaney never said a word. She seems lost in thought or something. I turned to look at her and she raised her head up, I quickly shifted my gaze away from her.

"You can leave" the principal said

I left the office and went back to the class. It was past lunchtime and I was so hungry. I entered the class, there was no teacher yet so the class was noisy.

I walked quietly to my seat

"What happened?, are you ok?" Maya asked concerned

"Yes" I replied feeling so tired and hungry

I sat quietly waiting for the next teacher but it seemed she was not ready to come.

"Maya, I think I will miss this class, I'm so hungry" I whispered

"Are you sure about this?" She asked

"Yes I'm 100% sure"

"You know the implications if you get caught" she answered worried

"Yes I know but I just have to risk it"

"Ok. Just be careful" she replied

I brought out my lunch box and left the class. I found an empty class and hurried up so I wouldn't get caught.

I decided to sit at the back, I opened my box and ate hastily.

Within a few minutes, I was done eating. I felt so full and I decided to rest my head.

I actually didn't know how much I slept until a voice woke me up

"You!!!!"

I raised my head to see an angry face staring at me. At first the face was not clear. I rubbed my eyes to see clearly

What? The principal???

I'm doomed today!!!
