Delaney's pov :
When I got home yesterday, I told mom about what happened and she acted suspicious. I wondered if she was hiding something from me.
I couldn't sleep throughout the night and I felt like I had a connection with that woman.
Why do I feel like I know her? Why do I see some resemblance?
I stood up from my bed and stretched a little. My back hurts. I pulled off my clothes and went straight to the bathroom.
I brushed my teeth and washed my hair before taking my bath. I tied my towel and left the bathroom.
"Delaney??" Mum called from outside my room
"Yes mum?"
"Are you done? You should come downstairs for breakfast"
"No momma, just give some few minutes" I said
"Ok darling"
I did whatever I needed to do so quickly before picking my bag from the bed and went downstairs
Mum and dad were seated waiting for me. We usually eat together. My little cute siblings. Adrian and Adrianna were also seated and ready for school.
They are 8 years old
"Good morning mum, good morning dad" I greeted
"Good morning my darling" dad said and I hugged him
"My princess, hope you slept well?" Mom asked
"Yes I did mom" I answered seating down
"Good morning sis" my twins siblings greeted
"Oh my hunny bunnies" I said
I touched their chubby cheeks playing with them. Dad and mum smiled. My family has always been a happy one.
I love my family but I have always felt I belong elsewhere.
Like I belong to a place far away.
The maid served our breakfast and I ate slowly.
"Are you ok darling?" Mom asked
"Yes mom" I answered
I know mom was watching me from the corner of her eyes but I chose to ignore it. I ate little food and felt full. I kept picking on the food. I couldn't help but think.
What if mom is hiding something from me?
I looked different from them. And whenever I asked why, mom always said it's because I am special.
"Can mom lie to me about my identity?, can she lie?" I thought
"You are not eating your food" dad said bring me back to reality
"I'm full dad" I replied
I pushed the food away and picked my bag.
"Dad, mom i'm leaving for school" I said
"Delaney you can talked to me if anything is wrong" mom said concerned and dad nodded
I smiled to conceal my frustration
"I'm ok mom. Dad there's nothing to worry about" I said
"If you say so, but you can talk to us if need be" dad said
"Ok dad, just trust me" I said
They both nod their heads
"Mom, hope you do not forget about the meeting with the principal?" I asked
"No darling" she answered
I said my goodbyes before leaving the house. The driver was already waiting for me.
"Good morning miss" the driver greeted
"Morning Daniel. Hope you slept well?" I asked
"Yes miss, hope you did too?"
"Yes I did"
"I wish I did" i thought
"We should get going" I said
"Yes miss"
He opened the car for me and I entered. He drove off. Drive to school was boring. I kept thinking about mom's reaction when I told her about the woman.
Finally we got to school and I went straight to the locker to get my books and textbook before going to class.
Alicia's pov :
I got dressed for school. It was already some minutes past 7 am. I picked my bag from the bed and left my room. I went straight to the sitting room. Mum was seated and breakfast was already served.
"Good morning mom" I greeted back hugging her
"Good morning princess, hope you slept well," she asked
"Yes mom" I answered
I dropped my bag on one of the dining chairs and sat close to mum.
She served me my breakfast. It is bacon and coffee
I ate silently
"Mum, are you going to school with me?" I asked when I was done
"No. I will be coming over by noon" she said
I stood up to clear the table but she stopped me.
"Just leave them. You are already running late" she said
"Bye mom" I said picking my bag
"Bye darling"
I turned to leave but she stopped me
"Not even a goodbye peck?" she asked.
I walked towards her and pecked her
"Stay out of trouble ok?" She said
"Ok mom. I promise I will"
"That's my girl" she patted my back
"Bye momma" I said and ran out of the house
I got outside to see Maya already waiting for me
"Hey best" I called
She glared at me before moving closer. She hit me playfully on my shoulder
"You want to die huh?" She asked
"What?"
"It's 7:25 am already. We are going to get late to school and you know what that means" she yelled
"Well I think we should get going" I said
We took off immediately, running as far as we could. We got to school some minutes later. Although we were late, we were surprisingly spared by the principal.
"Did you see that?" Maya asked
"I'm surprised too" I said
We walked happily to our lockers before heading to class.
Maria's pov:
After she left for school. I couldn't hold back the tears I was holding. I wept bitterly
"I should have told her" I said
"Shhhhhh, the twins are here" Mark said and I nodded
"Mom??" Adrian called
"Yes darling" I said trying so hard to hide my tears
"Are you ok?" He said
"Yes mom is fine. You should eat up quickly " I said
"Ok mom" he said
I watched them eat and I couldn't help but cry. I have a happy family. After what Williams did to me. I shut everyone away.
I was devastated until I met Mark. He was caring and understandable. Even after finding out about Delaney. He loved her like his own.
He never for once made her feel less loved. Few years later, I got pregnant. I was the happiest woman on earth.
I gave birth to twins Adrian and Adrianna. I couldn't wish for more than a happy family. Mark loved us all and I appreciate his effort for us.
"Bye mom" Adrianna said
I lift my head to see them already carrying their bags
"Come hug momma" I said
They both ran to me and hugged me. I kissed them on their foreheads before releasing them
"Make sure you do not cry when I'm gone" Mark said
I nodded even when I knew it's a lie. He pecked me on my forehead and left with the kids.
I stood up slowly from my seat and went back to my room where I could cry peacefully without any distraction.
Lee Mi-Hi's pov :
I felt happy after leaving the school yesterday. Seeing those girls made me really happy. It gave me hope of seeing my baby again.
The one called Alicia looks like someone I know but can't just figure it out. And the other (Delaney) she made me think of my Hyo-Sonn.
I got up from the bed and went to take my bath. I put on my clothes. I was so hungry so I called the room service.
Some minutes later, my breakfast was served and I ate happily. I couldn't wait to go back to school.
I have this great feeling that one of them is my daughter.
I sat down to watch a movie, patiently waiting for the detective's call
Some hours later, he called
?Good day ma'am
?Good day detective
?You can call me Jake
?Ok Jake. Are you downstairs already
?Yes ma'am
?i will be right there
?ok ma'am
I dropped the phone and straightened my gown. I checked myself in the mirror. I did a little makeup and when I was sure I was ready, I picked my bag and left the room.
I closed my door and went downstairs to meet the detective. We exchanged greetings before entering the car and driving off.
We got to the school and went to the principal's office.
"Good day principal" I greeted
"Good day ma'am" he answered
He exchanged greetings with the detective and ushered us to sit down.
We were talking when the door opened and a woman entered. She looked really classic with her blue floral gown and black peep toe heels.
I must say she's beautiful
"Good day principal" she greeted
"Good day Mrs Daniels" the principal greeted
"She must be Delaney's mom" I thought
"Good day ma'am, good day sir" she greeted us
"Good day ma'am" i greeted back
She was offered a seat and she sat down. We got along well. We were still discussing when the door opened revealing a woman.
Wait, I'm Korean!!
I couldn't see her face clearly. Although she was not dressed in elegant clothes but she was looking beautiful, even though I could only see the side of her face
She looked furious!
"Hey principal, what exactly do you call me for" she yelled
"Why did she look angry" I thought
'You need to calm down Mrs Kings" the principal said
Ohh!!!
Alicia's mom
"No wonder, like mother like daughter" I thought
She glared at the principal before turning to face my direction.
I guess she was looking for a seat
She raised her eyes to look at me and she gasped
What?!!
Her face! It looks familiar. No wonder her daughter looked familiar too.
But they don't look alike.
Why do I feel I know her and why did she act surprised when she saw me?
She quickly concealed the surprise and walked to a close by seat. I guess she suspected I didn't really remember her
She was about sitting down when my memory was refreshed
I know her now. Her name. What's her name again?
