CHAPTER THREE

1039 Words
Everything came crashing down at that point. If this was how people went crazy, then he was on the verge right now. His world had just been crushed in less than an hour. When his parents died he was still very young, so he didn’t miss them that much. He moved in with his aunt, who was married at then, but her husband hated him. He abused him physically, mentally and emotionally. When his aunt found out, she divorced him and sued him for everything he had. Was this how the only person who ever stood by him and made him happy is going to die without accomplishing what she had ever wanted? He doesn’t know her dreams and aspirations because she doesn’t talk about it but he sure knows she has dreams she was hoping to pursue after he gets married. Now death has come to ruin it. He walked into her ward and met her on her tab playing her favorite game. Candy crush. She looked as strong and healthy as ever but that’s what the doctor said. This disease is very painless, they’re just going to sleep one day and never wake up. He burst into tears at the thought of that. What has he done to the universe to deserve such a huge punishment? “Oh my baby boy. Why are you crying? As you can see, I am doing perfectly fine. You don’t have to be a baby about it”, Cynthia cooed. She got down from her bed and went to give him a hug. “Are you this scared of losing me?” She teased. But he immediately regretted it when his sobs increased. He hugged her tight, burying his head inside her full curly red hair. He was losing his s**t at that moment. “It’s okay Tim. I already know I’ve just three months to live, the doc already told me after I threatened to cut off his balls and terminate his license. And sincerely I’m not sad about it. I have to go meet my sister, your mother, very soon. Isn’t that great Tim?” She giggles like a child as she pulled away from the hug. Tim looked at her like she had gone crazy. As the bad blood flowed into her brain as well? Why she is acting like dying is a good thing. And that darn doctor. He’s definitely going to hear from him after this. “So you’re happy that you’re to live with me all alone in this world? Who’s going look after me when you’re go…gone Aunty?” He cried. He might appear heartless to the world, but to his aunty and girlfriend he was a big baby and nothing can change that. “Well, I do feel bad that I’m not going to be at your wedding or see you have kids. “You know I don’t want kids, aunt. “Nonsense! If my sister had decided not to have kids would you’ve been born? I don’t have a child and you’re saying you don’t want one. So our family lineage ends with you. Oh my! The thought of that makes me wanna”. She held her head in pain and almost slumped on the floor, but he was quick to catch her before she fell. He carried her and placed her on the bed. He poured some water for her and helped her drink it. She gave him the cup when she was through and cleared her throat before continuing. “You claim you love me, Tim, but you can’t even grant me a last wish” She said, looking disappointed and sad. “State your wish, aunt, and I promise I'll do anything you ask of me” He already knew what his aunt was going to ask for. Though he’s going to dread it but anything to make his Aunty happy. “I want you to settle down and have children, Tim. Hopefully your wife will be pregnant before I go. Please Timothy. Do this for your dear sick aunty”, he sighed in defeat. Always with a pity card. Emotional blackmail is her best trick card. “Alright aunt. If that would make you happy, I’d propose to Becky as soon as I leave here and we’d get married in… “Who said anything about you getting married to that snake?” She cut him sharply. “Only when I’m dead will I allow you to get married to that slut” She spat with pure disdain in her tone and eyes. “What do you mean, aunty? Becky is the woman I love. If I’m going to compromise having children then Becky is going to be the mother of my future kids. Aunty. Please don’t make me more unhappy by getting me tangled in a love triangle between two women”, he pleaded sadly. He knew his aunt didn’t like Becky, but not to that extent. “Then let me die a sad woman. I’d die and let you marry your precious Becky. Please leave my ward. I’d like to be alone” Tears gathered in her eyes as she ushered him out. He tried to protest but she was stern with her command. He calmly walked out of her ward in defeat. At one end, it is the love of his life; on the other end, it is his aunty and only family. Who would he choose? Beer and bae. One of the best city clubs. At the far end of the vip section was Tim drowning himself in alcohol. He was the only one there. He needed his privacy but the loud music could still be heard. He hated noise, but right now he felt numb and dumb to anything going on around him. He wished everything was just a bad dream. “Are you okay sir?” A voice asked. He looked up and saw her. His woman. How did she know he was there? He guessed her love for him would always find him. He pulled her into his body. She protested but he over powered her with his strength. Raining love bites and kisses all over your body.
