''I can handle a floral shop. I grew up gardening with my mother most of the time, and she dealt with flowers for business. Some flowers are medicine, while others are just for decoration,'' Cecil told Gabriel Russo.
Gabriel Russo was immediately more interested in Cecil.
The Russo group also had a section of it that dealt with the health and resources industry. He became interested in Cecil more because he felt he could use her expertise for the Russo group.
Recently, the Russo group had been trying to do research on a particular flower called the Bo flower. It was a foreign flower that grew only in Brazil until the Russo group stumbled on the Bo flower in the city of Nighten.
Though it was still a secret that the rare and highly valuable Bo flower had been found in Nighten, Gabriel Russo considered Cecil.
He would secretly discover her botanical prowess and indulge her in the Russo company’s latest research as time went on.
''You know flowers?'' Gabriel Russo asked Cecil casually.
He was very interested in her skill but he acted nonchalantly so that she would not suspect him.
Cecil nodded.
Gabriel Russo said nothing else, but he left Cecil at home about an hour later.
Cecil didn't mind at all.
The new house she lived in was perched far away from the central part of town and it was easy for her to be lonely if she stayed alone at home, but Cecil was fine by herself.
At least she had a house.
While Gabriel Russo was out, Cecil started to wonder what would happen between her and Gabriel Russo when he returned home.
At night, they would have to sleep together in the same bed, right?
Would he demand that she perform her duty to him as a wife?
It was not stated clearly in the contract that she signed for this marriage, but if a man and a woman were together as husband and wife, did that not entail that they would do the most things that a married couple would? Including trying to have babies.
Gabriel Russo had not discussed that part of the marriage with her.
Would she have his children?
At the Russo Group.
''How long are you going to keep your identity hidden?'' Harry, Gabriel Russo's assistant asked him.
They were in the office of the CEO of the Russo group.
Gabriel Russo stood at the French windows in his penthouse office that overlooked the city.
It was a beautiful view, one of which Gabriel Russo spent a lot of time standing over with a cigarette in his left hand and a cup of coffee in his right hand.
''As long as it takes until I am sure of her,'' Gabriel Russo replied to Harry without turning to look at him.
''She does not seem like she is any trouble. Already, I can tell. When I saw her at the registry, I knew she was different from other women in Nighten,'' Harry said.
Harry had hardly finished his statement when Gabriel Russo turned to look at him with intense eyes.
Was Harry weighing his woman?
Even if Gabriel Russo had gotten married to Cecil without knowing her and without any feelings attached, she was now his wife.
So, how dare Harry talk about her so intimately?
''Sorry!'' Harry quickly said and raised his hand to apologize to his boss.
''How far have we gone in the research?'' Gabriel Russo asked Harry.
''Which one, Bo?'' Harry replied.
Gabriel Russo nodded.
''We have not been able to locate the right florist to determine the potency of Bo. Bo must have grown in our country, but it might not be the same species as the one that is valuable in Brazil. This might be a different specialty and we need somebody with great
skill at flowers to determine what species of Bo we have with us,'' Harry explained.
Gabriel Russo listened to Harry quietly and nodded when Harry had finished speaking.
Harry was confused.
''You are okay with it?'' he asked Gabriel Russo with curiosity.
Gabriel had always been on the edge since the Russo Group found Bo in Nighten. He was in a hurry to determine its potency and trigger it in Nighten so that the Russo Group would be the new source of the rare flower called Bo.
If he could start a farm that raised only the Bo flower, the Russo Group would skyrocket in status more than it already was.
Also, Gabriel Russo had to be very careful about how he went about his research because other companies would do anything to lay their hands on the Bo flower.
Gabriel Russo had been discreet about his research. That was one of the reasons why he had not gotten any results concerning the flowers yet.
He could not tell anybody at random about Bo. If not, it might even get stolen.
''I'm taking it easy now, Harry. I think I might have found a researcher,'' Gabriel Russo said.
Harry was obscure about what Gabriel Russo had planned, so when he heard that the latter had found a researcher, there was cause for worry.
The discovery of the Bo flower was one that every single expert in Nighten and outside Nighten wanted by all means.
If they released the information about Bo to the wrong person, they could as well kiss their discovery goodbye.
