18. Chapter – Mate

Evelyn p.o.v.

»Say something. Please.« he was begging me to say something but I just couldn't say anything. It was getting hard for me to breathe with him being so close. So I made a few steppes backwards before finally speaking. Still not looking at him.

»Why did you told me this?«

»Because there's a 'thing' or more like 'someone' to us werewolves that we call a mate. It's actually our soulmate. The love of your life. It probably sounds cheesy but it's true. And the reason I'm telling you this is because-«

»I'm your mate.« I finished for him when I released where this is going.

»Yes.« my vision was getting blurry because of the tears that gathered there. When I looked at his eyes the tears were released.

»Evelyn please don't cry. I won't hurt you I promise. I would rather die than hurt you I swear.« and for some reason I believed him.

»I believe you. But I still need you to stay away from me.«

»Why the f**k would I do that?«

»Because we can never work. Okay? Ot's not you. It me and who I am. Who my family is. Do you know what my family does? My parents are hunters of your kind. They will hunt you and kill you.« by the end I was shouting.

»I know. I know because they captered and almost killed my sister but your brother helped her.« he screamed at me. And I was taken back. He didn't just scream. It's hard do explain. It was like two people were talking through one person's mouth. And I got a little scared which he probably saw because he startetd apologising. I relaxed a little bit. And that's when it hit me.

»My brother helped your sister?«

»Yes.«

»Was it Adam or Ethan?« a part of me wanted him to say yes, but different part of me also wanted him to say no.

»No. It was Sebastian.« I stilled at that.

»Do you know what happened to him?«

»Yes. He saved Nic and almost died. Nic brought him to our pack. After she explained what happened our pack doctor made sure that he was okay. My father offered to hide him from your family to show him his gratitude. He acepted and my father hid him somewhere. He didn't tell anyone.«

»Do you think he would tell me?«

»I think he would. You're his sister after all. But first he would make sure he can trust you. I can take you to talk to him if you want.«

»I would like that. But I think that first we should talk what's gonna happen with us.«

He grinned at that. We talked for a while more. I learned that wolfbane can only weaken werewolf and silver bullet too unless they get shoot in a heart or head. And that the full moon doesn't have any affect on unmated wolves but mated wolves get really horny. My face turned into tomato after hearing that. William just chuckled at my reaction and promised to hold himself back. But I'll still have to be with him on full moon otherwise he would go crazy. We decided to keep it a secret and not tell anyone-except Nathan and Nicole who already knew-and just see where it goes. He also promised me he would talk to his father about my brother if I start calling him Will instead of William.

After that he drove me to Adam's house and we said goodbye.
