1. Chapter – Prologue

Evely p.o.v. at the age of 8

I can't breathe.

I can't see anything.

Smoke is all around me.

»Jacob!« I scream the name of my twin. I don't hear the reply.

I can't keep my eyes open. I just want to fall asleep and wake up from this nightmare.

»Evelyn!« I hear someone calling me. But it wasn't him. It wasn't Jacob. I didn't know who it was all I know is that it wasn't him.

2 days after the fire (in the hospital after Evely woke up)

»I'm sorry Evelyn. It's just you and me now.« my father said. 

And that's how the rest of my life started.
