Ava’s POV
By the time Mara finally admitted she had made me try on enough dresses to fill an entire wardrobe, my arms were occupied with shopping bags that contained two gowns I never imagined I’d own, three pairs of jeans she insisted I needed, several casual tops, and a few other things she’d quietly slipped into the basket whenever I wasn’t paying attention.
“I still think two dresses are too many,” I complained as we stepped out of the clothing store.
