~4 days later~
I woke up to an unfamiliar room, looking at the ceiling. Then I look around and realize I’m in someone’s house. Sitting up I put a hand on the side of my head trying to stop the dizziness. I heard my stomach growl. I got up, and I started to walk around. Past the living room door there was a hallway with paintings on the wall, soon after that I saw a door. As I got closer to the door I kept hearing voices. When I finally got to the door I turned my head and put one ear to the door to listen.
I felt dizzy again. I knocked weakly. I doubt that anyone heard me. After a while I leaned in against the door. When the door opened I fell but someone seemed to get me before I hit the ground. I would’ve said thank you but my throat was dry, so I couldn’t muster any words.
I turned around to see who caught me; he’s tall, well built, strong jaw line and sky blue eyes with short brown hair. He wore a black v-neck shirt that defied every muscle in his body, blue jeans and a casual pair of shoes. “aren’t you going to say thank you?” he asked with a smirk on his beautiful full lips.
I opened my mouth to say something but at the same time my stomach growled again.
“Kassandra” he called “can you get some food for her and get her something to drink?”
Kassandra has beautiful long wavy light brown hair, green eyes and slender.
“Her? Kassandra asked while she was coming my way. “Oh, it’s you. Dane, why didn’t you tell me she woke up? I’ll make something really quick and get you water, is that ok?”
I just nodded, and followed Dane to a table and waited for the food, my hands on my lap. I kept thinking, where had I heard that name before? Then it occurred to me, that day before I passed out. After a few minutes Kassandra came to the table carrying a plate full of food, and went back to get the water and silverware.
After I ate the food and drank the water, I said, “thank you, for the food it was delicious.” I smiled at Kassandra.
“Glad you liked it,” she said, smiling back in appreciation.
“Oh, and Dane, thank you for catching me before I fell on the ground. That would’ve been embarrassing.” I said, unfortunately he was either surprised or shocked because I knew his name. Even though I think he’s more shocked than surprised.
Dane said nothing, he just stared at me with eyes wide open, a minute or two passed then he asked “h-how did you know my name?” Clearly he was still shocked.
“That’s easy” I replied, “Kassandra called you that, and I remember someone telling me that before I fell unconscious.”
“Oh” he said sheepishly, clearly he wasn’t expecting me to remember his name. “Are you ok?”
“Yes, I’m great, why do you ask?”
“Well” he said scratching his head with his hand, continuing “you’ve been asleep for a long time.”
“ A few hours aren’t a long time.” I said.
“Yeah, but it wasn’t a few hours” before I can say anything he added, “it was a few days”
“How many days exactly?” I asked
He shrugged “four days”
My jaw dropped “I’ve been asleep for four days straight?” I just couldn’t believe it. Sleeping for four days straight, that’s not possible I told myself.
“We were all worried” Kassandra started “but Dane here-“
Before she got to finish Dane cutting her off “was also worried” he said smiling like he was trying to hide something.
“Actually, he was the most worried out of the three of us,” Kassandra said, receiving a glare from Dane.
“Three of us?” I asked
This time Dane answered “yes, the three of us. Me, Kassandra, and her husband, which you’ll still be going to meet.”
When I said nothing Dane asked, “What’s your name?”
“My name is Isabella,” I stated.
