Chapter 5
Even though I'd seen it coming, the kiss took me by surprise. Or, more accurately, my reaction did. As fiercely as he kissed me, I kissed him back. I gripped his shoulders and dug my hand through his hair, pressing him against me.
The kiss wasn't soft, but it wasn't hard either. There was no urgency, no desperation. It was as if we had all the time in the world to explore and devour, to test and tease and taste. And damn, he tasted fine. Like sea salt and sunshine. He smelled just as delicious too.
