"I need to get out of here..." I muttered to myself.
My stomach growled loudly, and I shut my eyes tightly. The door is locked, and I haven't eaten anything for the past 15 hours. I remembered what my psycho husband said to me after he took me home from the bar last night.
"You stay here and think about what you did."
Hah! I'm not some silly kid. I'm a grown-up woman. I'm already 25 years old, for God's sake! It's not like I need chastisement for every mistake that I commit. Besides, isn't he the one who cheated on me? What did I do to deserve this? And why am I allowing this to happen?
