Kaden took a deep breath and let it out slowly. "My aunt lives in Australia. That's why she only visited my mom and me once a year or so. She changed her phone number constantly because she was always moving around the continent."
"Kaden," I started unsurely. "You'll be able to find her, right?"
"Trixa, I don't think you understand," Kaden said softly. "If I want to have a family, a place where I can live, I have to move to my aunt's house. Some thousands of miles away."
"I...you..." This couldn't be happening. For some reason, my brain had chosen to ignore the question of where Kaden's aunt was located until now, and the fact that I would have to leave him to go home with my parents. Not to mention that I would have to leave Jeffry, and Will.
