‘I’ll have to work out something for Pedro, and Sharifa is due for her first baby. I really, really like her, and I want to make sure she gets special care. I can’t wait to have our first baby camel.’
‘Did you hear about the smallpox?’
‘Jim called me. He didn’t say much. I want to hear all about it. He might be home in a couple of days. I suppose it would be okay if I’m at the lab when he gets back. We could come back to the ranch together.’
