Chapter 9JIM, ACCOMPANIED BY CAPTAIN Kramer and Major Brush McGuire, took the elevator up two levels from the laboratory and office on underground Level LG3 to LG1, the weapons floor. As the elevator door opened, Sergeant First Class Williston, wearing dress greens, snapped a salute which, to an observer, might seem incongruous, as Colonel Johnson was dressed casually in chino slacks and a light blue shirt. Standing at attention behind SFC Williston and his eight-member logistics team were the full BWC complement of three special response teams and two HazMat teams—in all, fifty-seven men and women.
