I arrived home after the grueling meeting at my father’s company to meet the whole family seated with grim faces. Mother looked nervous and father looked like he was going to kill someone, my other relatives were present. Two uncles of mine: Tom and Ruben, and one female aunt; Margarita. Who names someone Margarita?
My father cleared his throat and I shrugged and headed for my room.
“Stop right there,” my father said in his deep baritone and I stopped and turned. He looked furious.
“When would you stop f*****g about ?” He said and I frowned.
“I don’t get what you mean,” I said, confused and he shoved a paper into my hands.
“Read this,” he said and I quickly scanned the paper. When I saw the word pregnant I knew I was f****d up.
“Who did you f**k this time?” My father said and my aunt chuckled, “Who is the f*****g father” he roared and I flinched.
“I ....ummm” I stammered and for a few seconds I considered lying, but I decided to tell the truth.
“Jason,” I said. One single word. One name. My father stared at me.
“Is he wealthy?” He asked curious and I glared at him, so that’s all he cared about. Not my happiness.
“Yes. Much more than you are” I said. Greed flashed in their eyes and he smiled.
“What's his last name?” he asked and I felt my life flash in front of my eyes. I knew what I said next would decide my fate. Now I felt how superheroes felt when they were about to make a decision that would change fate. I steeled my nerves and said the word. The name.
“Hudson. Jason Hudson” I said and my father stared at me shocked. He stood in outrage and so did his brothers.
“Hudson?” He roared so loud my mom cowered in her seat. “Of all people in the world, you had s*x with the Hudsons.” He said. I looked away ashamed. It was a bad move for me.
“You will soil my name. I can’t have you here” he barked. I stared at him in surprise was he going to send me away?
“But you can’t send her away. She can……” my mom started but my father shut her up with a look.
“You must marry him,” he said and I stared at him in shock. He was asking me to marry Jason, but that wasn't possible.
“Father, you can’t…….”
“Quiet” he yelled. I flinched and quietened. He glared at me. “You will go to him, beg him if you have to, to marry you. Because no one in the Matthews family gives birth unwed. Do you hear me?” He said and I nodded. Fury started building up in me that it choked me
“Yes Father” I answered calmly trying hard not to let out my anger and he nodded.
“Get your things and get out of my house!” He said and I scowled. I stared at him once more in hate and nodded, this was the last time I was ever coming back to the house. I waved to my mom who was near tears and turned my back on them all.
They can all go to hell

I knocked on the familiar door and it pulled back. Jason's familiar face came into view. His hair was disheveled and fell to his temples, he looked handsome as usual. He scowled when he saw me.
“What do you want?” He said and I gulped. How do I tell him this, that I was pregnant with his child?
“I want to….I…..” I was lost for words, the way he was staring at me was scaring me. He was certainly dangerous.
“I am pregnant,” I said and he stared at me for a second then roared out in laughter. The sound echoed, mocking.
“Really?” He mocked, “I am happy for the father,” he said and I stared him in the eye and scowled.
“You are the father” I deadpanned and he stopped laughing, his blue eyes were so cold I didn’t know if he was going to hit me so I stepped back.
“Is this some sort of joke?” he asked, his voice could have cut glass. His hands tightened on the doorknob nearly breaking it. “You should leave. Now!” He said.
“You came in me,” I said, “In all your glory” I added, sarcasm dripping from my voice. Jason reddened and growled.
“What do you want me to do?” He asked and I stared at him in defiance.
“Marry me,” I said and Jason's blue eyes sparked dangerously. He looked at me for a moment and shook his head.
“Go away,” he said, “I don’t want anything to do with you” he growled.
“Please,” I begged, finally tired of fighting. “My family sent me away for this,” I said and his eyes widened in surprise.
“Oh,” his voice dropped. His blue eyes studied me still contemplating. “Alright, I’ll take you. As my wife”
“Thank you,” I said and he mumbled something in reply and walked away without saying another word.
When I am done giving birth I am leaving this damned marriage.
