And now she had just proven it, she was mentally unhinged thinking she could kill me. “What exactly do you mean you cannot let Jake live?” Neve asked, cautiously trying to approach Delilah. I instinctively put my arm out, pulling her back behind me, waiting for Delilah to explain herself. Lync and Leo moved to flank me on either side, offering extra protection for Neve. Ever the independent woman, Neve let out a little huff behind me letting us know that she was not happy about our over-protectiveness as she could defend herself.
