Amelia gritted her teeth as she placed the tray of tea and treats in front of her sister and childhood friend. “Do you expect me to pour it myself do you hate me so much that you wish to see me get burned” Aqua said dramatically Jason sighed and was about to pick up the tea pot when Aqua gave him the side eye. “Well?” Aqua asked her sister with a tight smile on her face Amelia turned around and began pouring tea for her sister and Jason. Amelia was about to leave when she heard her sister hiss and as she turned around, she felt her chest sting, Aqua had poured the hot tea all over Amelia’s upper body the hot water clinging on her clothes string her chest, tears of pain filled Amelia’s eyes as her chest burned with pain. “The tea is bitter” Aqua said indifferent to Amelia’s pain, Jason stood up fast and rushed to Amelia’s side just as Aqua was about to say something Jason gave her a murderous look. “AQUA!” he scolded her picking Amelia up princess style he turned to face Aqua again. “I’m not letting this go” he said taking Amelia to her room. “I don’t have a change of clothes” Amelia cried softly in his arms he was like a brother she always wished she would have. Her stomach and parts of her chest was red due to the hot water Jason gritted his teeth as he pulled Amelia close and held her tightly in his arms in the sanctuary of Amelia’s bedroom which consisted of a dresser table and a small bed, she didn’t have much her step mother made sure of that he reluctantly let go of Amelia and gave her a gentle kiss on the forehead. “I’m sorry Meli I promise you I’ll fix everything.” Amelia did not know what Jason was talking about it was not him who poured the tea on her it was her sister; she was about to reassure him when he put something in her hands. “Put this on it will help with the pain.” That was all he said after leaving. Amelia applied the ointment and after a few minutes the pain was gone she wanted to find Jason and thank him she hoped that he had not left yet when she heard his voice from her father’s office she excitedly went to the door. “I’ll marry Aqua” Jason’s said in frustration. Amelia standing outside, ears dropping felt like she could not breathe, she felt like the world was caving in on her as everything became blank. *** Equity is the concept of fairness and justice in society, aiming to ensure that everyone has access to the same opportunities and resources to reach their full potential. Despite our efforts to create equality, true equality still is elusive. Even in identical circumstances, such as children raised in the same household by the same parents, true equality is difficult to achieve. Everyone is unique, with their own strengths, weaknesses, and needs, making it impossible to treat everyone the same. In conclusion Amelia did not believe in equality she has expressed first that how there was no such thing as equality how she is discriminated against because she is born differently from her sister and others equality is an illusion created by the strong and fed to the weak.
