The first date

Myra was really excited and the next day woke up smiling and feeling amazing. She walked into the kitchen where Emma was having her breakfast and was ready to leave for school. Myra gave Emma a hug and a big kiss. Emma asked, 'Are you okay, Mommy? You look really happy.' Myra responded, 'Yes, baby, I am really happy today. I will see you after school, and we will go out for ice cream in the evening when I am back from work.' Emma was all excited, said bye, and left for school on the school bus. Myra then closed the door, turned around, and saw her mom looking at her, surprised at how happy she looked. Myra walked up to her mom, hugged her, kissed her on the cheek, and said, 'I had a really wonderful time yesterday, Mom.' Myra's mother was glad to hear that, and said she should do this more often. She asked her, 'Did your friends manage to find you a date?' To which she responded, 'Not really because I found a date for myself,' and could not contain her excitement, sharing the entire story.And at the end of it, her mother said I am really glad that you made that funny mistake. Things are meant to be; you were probably meant to meet him in this funny way, and they both laughed. Myra then went to work, and it was going to be quite a hectic day when suddenly her phone pinged, and it was Ryan wishing her a good day and that he can't stop thinking about her. That just made her busy day pass by like a cool breeze, and she went home at the end of the day. As promised to Emma, took her out for a mom and daughter evening, and they had ice cream while sitting on a bench outside the ice cream parlor. At night when she was about to go to bed, she couldn't help it and dropped a goodnight message to Ryan, and he responded instantly, 'Hey, I was thinking about you and was just about to ping you. I just can't wait till it's Friday now, I can't wait to see you.' They said their goodnights and went to bed. The week went by, and they wished each other good mornings and goodnights till it was Friday afternoon, The week went by and they wished each other good mornings and goodnights. Till it was Friday afternoon and Myra could not wait for the day to end. She was all excited when suddenly her phone pinged, and it was Ryan. Ryan sent her a message saying, 'I am really sorry. I know you were looking forward to our date today, but I will be stuck at work for a very long time. Please don't hate me. I want to ask if you are free on Saturday morning at 7:00 AM. I want to take you somewhere. Can you meet me outside the same restaurant?' Myra was disappointed but understood; after all, it was work. She agreed to meet him on Saturday morning. Ryan pinged again and said, 'And yes, can you wear comfortable shoes and comfortable clothes? I want to take you somewhere, and I hope you like it.' Myra was a little disappointed as she could hardly wait to see Ryan but agreed. Myra finished work, went home, spent a good time with Emma, had dinner with her parents, put Emma to bed, and then went back to her room.And started getting ready for bed. She picked a white summer dress with a strawberry design all over it and a pair of flat ballet shoes, placing them carefully on the chair so she would not take time to get ready in the morning. She then went to her bed and carefully placed the blanket on herself. Suddenly, her phone pinged; it was Ryan. He said, 'I am really sorry for today, but I hope you like the surprise I have planned for you tomorrow. I can't wait to see you, Myra.' Myra was still a little upset but understood and replied, 'Looking forward to seeing you, Ryan. Goodnight.' The next morning, Myra got up early, took a shower, fixed her hair and makeup, got dressed, and put on the flat ballet shoes. She had mixed feelings; she was excited at the same time a bit scared, wondering how the day would go and if Ryan would like her or not, as they did not get a chance to talk much the other day. She then walked into Emma's room, and she was still sleeping. Myra gently kissed her forehead, fixed her blanket, and slowly and carefully walked out of Emmas room.
She then got into her car, reached the restaurant, parked her car carefully, and waited for Ryan to show up.
