Ryan was contacted by Margaret just over 6 years ago when she learned he was a lawyer. She asked for his help, stating she wanted to get rid of her daughter-in-law, that she loved him, missed him, but did not know how to reach him. Ryan knew that the only reason Margaret reached out to him was that he is a lawyer and a partner at a big law firm, expecting she would not have to pay a penny as they were family. Ryan felt bad as he wasn't even aware that his cousin Jake was married, and that his aunt never even invited him to the wedding. She said, 'Don't worry, we will invite you for the next one. I am sure my handsome boy Jake will find a girl in no time.'
Ryan agreed to help Margaret and Jake, and he helped them with divorce papers and tricks of the trade so they don't have to give anything to his wife. Margaret and Jake portrayed Myra as a cunning gold digger who would spend his money, dragging him to the ground. They claimed he always fought and did not get along with the family. Due to a shortage of money and her behavior, Jake has gone into depression and is suicidal. They claimed that if Ryan did not help, he would be responsible for his cousin's death. Without knowing the truth and checking the facts, Ryan helped his cousin get a divorce from Myra. For the same reason, he agreed to help his cousin get a second divorce and also agreed to help them by dating Myra to bring down the evil woman.

Jake almost destroyed that farm until Ryan intervened and saved it. Now Ryan is in a dilemma about whether to help his aunt, who is family, or to tell Myra the truth. After knowing Myra for 6 months, Ryan realizes that the stories his aunt told him were lies. He understands that his aunt and cousins are not good people and are trying to hurt Myra once again.
Margret saw the look and worry on Ryan's face and understood he was having second thoughts. She walked up to him and said, 'I hope you are not planning to hurt your aunt Margret again.
