The next day, Ryan went back to his farm and waited for any updates from Myra's mother or his friend, while also eagerly waiting for Roger to send the documents for the restraining orders by mail. He couldn't concentrate on work that day and kept looking at his cellphone, hoping for good news.
His phone finally rang, and it was his private investigator friend who shared the details of the guy hired by Margaret and Jack. He then informed Ryan that when he looked up the details, he found out that Jack's second wife, Kathy, was introduced to him much before Myra and Jack were married. Her father Michael also invested a good amount of money in the business owned by Jack's uncle, his father's elder brother, Albert. Not only that, they were old friends too. The investigator then said, 'As per my sources, Michael, Albert, and Jack's parents fixed their marriage long ago but never told Jack, and that was the agreement for the invested money.' He then said Albert was furious when Jack ended up marrying Myra secretly and was angry at Margret and his brother for not telling Jack for all these years, he found out the truth. Margret and her husband are greedy people, and all the wealth, estate, and business they have are owed to Albert. Therefore, what he says matters. Margret never liked Myra and even though she pretended to accept their marriage, she secretly kept meeting Michael and his daughter Kathy. When she successfully broke up their marriage, she told Kathy to pretend she didn't know them and to console Jack. She succeeded in making him fall in love with her, and he married her. Meanwhile, Albert had met Myra and found her to be a good person and a suitable partner for Jack. He was not aware of the manipulative games played by Margret and Michael to get rid of Myra. So when Jack left Myra, Albert found out from his friend that he and Margaret are involved. He broke all contacts with Michael, Margaret, his brother, and Jack. It turns out that Albert had passed away a year ago and left a will for Myra, all his estates, business, money, and jewelry in the bank. Everything goes to Myra and her child, and the man was a billionaire. Till he was alive, he did not speak to any of them. But after he died, Margaret and Jack forced themselves into the funeral, created a scene, and later made a scene at the lawyer's office when they went to Albert's lawyer to check what was on the will. The lawyer at first declined to share the details as he was specifically instructed to read the will in the presence of the entire family, including Myra. But as the lawyer had never met Myra, they got a girl pretending to be Myra and had all her fake IDs, assuming she was just going to be there for the sake of it. After all, Albert wouldn't be giving her anything considering she is long gone and divorced by Jack. But when the lawyer read the will, the entire family was shocked. Myra and her child own everything. Fifty percent goes to Myra and fifty percent goes to her child. Ryan stopped the investigator and said, 'I knew about Kathy's role in all this, that she was being prepared to be married to Jack before Myra and Jack got divorced. I spoke to her on the phone a few days ago when Margaret was threatening me, trying to understand why Jack got divorced. She was furious at Jack and Margaret, saying they were greedy and only after her dad's money. So he left them. But I don't understand how Albert knew about Myra's child. I mean, she got divorced over five years ago. Was he assuming that Myra would have a child with Jack?' The investigator then said, 'No, Ryan, that is the strange part. The will was written when Albert was on his deathbed over a year ago. The previous will, when I asked their lawyer, stated that 50% was supposed to go to Jack, Margaret, his brother, and the rest was supposed to go to charity. But that will was made eight years ago, and Albert had revised his will only.'before his death and completely changed his will.
Ryan was still confused as Myra and her family never shared with anyone from Jack's side of the family that she gave birth to a child. Is Albert specifically referring to Myra and Jack's child, or if Myra gave birth to a child if she remarries? The investigator read through the document and stated it quotes for the youngest member of our family. Myra's daughter gets the remaining 50% of the assets. Ryan was beyond puzzled at this time, but he thought maybe someone must have told him that Myra gave birth to Jack's daughter and he left her the assets.
His investigator friend agreed that possibly he might have got the information and he decided to give her everything, probably because they were unfair to her and left her penniless as per the divorce settlement, even though the divorce was initiated by Jack. Ryan thanked his friend for everything he had done, and his investigator friend asked him to call anytime if he has any new cases for him. Ryan now knew why Margaret and Jack wanted Emma and how they found out about her through the will. He now knew having control over Emma would mean that they ensure the security of 50% of the property, but having control over Myra by snatching away Emma would simply mean she would give away her 50% assets willingly just to have her daughter back. Ryan was disgusted about the dirty tricks his aunt was playing just for money and power.
