Just minutes before they got separated from the rest, Jorah and Enzo were attacked by two Canix wolves, which led them away from the pack as they fought the beasts, with Jorah killing one instantly with his weapon.
Enzo's wrath was unleashed on the second attacker, whose neck he cracked, and the sound echoed through the forest. Breathless, the beta shifts back into human form, still craving blood.
As Jorah enters, he comes into contact with Enzo's naked body, which bears claw marks on its back and hands, and is surrounded by the two dead wolves, causing him to calm down.
And fortunately, the Canix claws were not infected at all. He didn’t need to turn back to know who was behind him. “What are you doing here? Why did you follow me?” he snarled at the healer.
“To see if you were hurt.”
