ARTEMISIA I let out a breath as I twisted my finger for the umpteenth time. My heart rammed in my chest, and I bit my bottom lip and dug my feet into the soil so as not to dart out of the crowd because that was what ran through my mind. That was the only thing I could think of: run as fast as I could and not look back until I got to the entrance of the castle for fear of being caught.
