Four times Angie had thought she was in labour, only to be sent home on each occasion, so when she nudged him, in the early hours of Monday 29th August, he showed no sense of urgency. He was shattered and had to rub his eyes and yawn before turning to her. 'John, I'm getting the pains again. It's got to be labour this time,' she said, grabbing him by the arm. 'You sure?'
