The next morning I woke early and was one of the first inside the op’s centre. As I drank a cup of coffee I went over some surveillance photos with one of the intelligence analysts. Besides satellite imagery we were using a high-tech surveillance drone to keep track of Zannu’s movements.
“Here’s a picture of his main base which is also the training camp.” He said, handing me a photograph. “Apparently he has two smaller bases closer to the edge of the jungle.”
“Where did you get the info?” I asked.
“The Ugandan Army allowed us to interrogate a few prisoners yesterday.” He replied.
“That was nice of them.” I said.
“They’ve actually been very helpful. We also learned that Zannu and his top leaders are based in a network of caves not too far from the training camp.”
