Awkward

Zarmeideus was mildly disgusted, while looking at the girl non-blinking. "Sorry,-" she was rubbing her nose continuously now "it's just all this dust." Pyris said scrunching up her her face and using her hand as a fan. "Damn, this place is even worse than when we just got here. Do you know how long I've been cleaning for? Hours now, and I am so tired." The female groaned. So annoying. "We have no furniture in the leisure room, if you noticed that. Unfair right, every other dwelling has furniture and their places are spotless, at least that's what I heard. Then again this dwelling hasn't been used in years, I'm surprised it still looks this good, the only upside is that it's way bigger than the other houses. Anyway, I also heard for our years at this place we will have to live here, somehow there are no more extra dwellings for us. They only made twelve for each year, I have no idea why." Zarmeideus, didn't care to listen for the girl's ramblings, disregarding her completely, he walked pass the girl standing at the end of the hallway. And back into the living room. The girl was indeed correct, about the no furniture thing. Only a broom that was leaned against a window was present, any this else was just pure dust. Zar took the time to look at the big empty room, the walls had the colour of light blue with mild dew all over and tiled floors, with two windows showing the front yard and entry way. Beside that nothing else. Taking up the broom Zar went back to the hidden hallway by passing the bluenette. Throroughly avoiding her and her yappin. The cubs were already inside the room, highly intelligent they were being able to understand their master at this level. The young man's face was pulled in a scowl as he walked in the room and turned to look out the doorway at Pyris, she also looked at him ready to open her mouth to say more. At that point the door clicked silently showing it was closed. Pyris expression was surely shocked, mouth agape. She could do nothing only accepting it sulkily. On the other side the attractive lad looked a the dirty room, layers upon layers of dust even wafting through the air, the little sunlight peeking in from a small window showed the little particles. Zarmeideus set about to sweep, from the front door to the back, yes, in this large room there was also a back book leading to the back yard, a large on with leveled green grass. Little ways from that trees towered over the large house, beyond that Zar did not know what else was there. He began sweeping, the floor and dusting the walls clearing up the thick layers and sweeping it out through the walls. It had been hours since then, at first he would pile them up, but due to the little demon spawns he would have to start sweeping all over again as they would spread back all dust to the entire room, now they were on a time out. Unusual for him sure, even when stealing he did not reprimand them. Now they were just too aggravating, he let them stay in the far corner, them sulking and making cute faces st him. He did not give in, never had and never will. Now the room was crystal clean but it had an old musky scent, that demanded fresh air. So Zar opened the only window letting the dusk lights appear more clearly. When he look at the walls he wondered why they weren't mild dew like the living room, before it clicked. These walls were made out of inodelia. The type of matter was no cheap or common thing, in fact here in Csedea only those with noble backgrounds or persons as rich as nobles could afford this. Of course this only applies to Csedea, other continents do not really have the means to trade or buy from the Malvelia continent, this mountainous place. The only other continent is the one attached to Csedea, Nevillar. Only the King's castle or extremely high nobles could afford this luxury. Otherwise in the Malvelian continent this type of stone is mined and very common, even poor households use this in their everyday work because of its resiliance. Only certain tools could peirce or shape it. Knowing this the Malvelians took advantage and started to trade with others. The Malvelians lived on a mountain, yes, plenty caves and other things to exploit and continue to make resources for themselves. Most Malvelians have a merchant style living, those closest to the Plains that is. Other Malvelians who lived at the peaks did not have this type of living. After the miners found new ways to make the inodelia for more popular. This was a renovating strategy, the floors that were built with the stone was turned to a more glassy fixure. The indonelia when heated it would not be given scorched marks like others, in fact it would melt at a very very high temperature and the particles inside when becomes more transparent and smoother than the actual stone. It is actually a long process requiring the stone to be kept at the fixed temperature for a period of time. Of course the actual more reliable process is a secret. The floor the inodelia's second form glassy, transparent and light cream, with no breaks like normal tiles and the walls the normal forms for the indonelia also the same shade as the floor. After being delayed this long the hues of the sky were orange going to purple and few stars were seen. By now the little cublings were hungry. It was diner time after all. The eighteenth hour out of thirty-six already passed. Their little tummies grumbled and they looked at Zarmeideus pitifully, making whimpering sounds. Softening the cold heart only for them, his face also relaxed not showing the creases on his forehead. Giving a rare doting expression, before steeling hiz expression again. He could not starve them, Zar also realized that the others that Pyris so often talked about came back, a little late. He could hear their footsteps, some extremely light and the others normal for a person without training, he had advanced hearing so it was nothing to pick up on. Even if he didn't hear them the scent of food wafted through the air even to this distant place at the far back. However, this type of food Zar didn't eat, luckily the cubs ate it. In any case you were wondering it was meat, he hadn't ate anything related to food except maybe the milk from his mother. Not even of that he was sure he ate. He didn't want to go out there but looking at the cubs made him, he couldn't starve them. Zar himself didn't eat anything since his arrival, that was around one and a half day. The people here mixed meat with everything and even if it wasn't one couldn't be sure if he would still eat it. So after much contemplating, choosing whether to feed the cubs this cooked food or hunt something outside he decided it was better bring them for the cook food instead of leaving them unattended where something could happen. He would rather not. He headed to the door, the cubs already in front of him wagging their tails with glee. Havoc barking to show that he was happy to be fed. The little pup led the way, and his owner let him. The pup, was what someone would call the hunter of his pack, before leaving Xtarcia the little things were being trained in that field to see who was the best at what. Havoc, was like the provider of the pack. When he went out he would bring back little stuff he caught and offer it to the other memebers, not wishing them to starve (they weren't). Stealth was something seen being utilized by Havoc in the near future the little thing was very good at tracking a prey and his other senses were more heightened than the others even at his young age. But they weren't sharp the little pup was barely even scratching the surface of his instincts and abilities, and was already quite good. The Snow Lupel race was formidible indeed. Kaima, now this little cub was the protector of said pack. The little leopardos fell short in heightened sense, tracking and hunting but he had strength and immense agility. He may not be able to hunt as well as Havoc (they are still to young to hunt other large animals, only small rodents and critters) but he sure could take down one with force if needed be, fighting was a strong suit, not stealth. He was extremely guarded and alert around new places such as this. Same as he was now, pulling a fierce face, snarling lightly. The last little one was no diamond. Brialle was rough and demanding, loved to pick on Havoc (he was the youngest) but she cared for him none the less. The little cub was in the last place, only agile not possessing strength like her brother or Havoc but extremely viscious to those not in her favour. Anyways they were led by Havoc, even though Zarmeideus already knew the way the four entered through the broad doorway. Leading to a large white room, mild dew on the walls near the ceiling and the middle. No windows or other furniture except an old circular wooden table otherwise it was like the leisure room. This was only the dining room it seemed. Some old wooden circular table barely able to fit the other four people around it. There was no table cloth present only the scratched surface of the uneven table. There was some amount of food on said table. The people surrounding the table looked up on his arrival. Of course Pyris was there it seemed she always was. "Oh my I am so glad you could make it, I thought you were never going to come out of that room, and oh you also fixed your hair. I just have to say...." She seemed.... elated more than anyone else. Circling the rest was an unfamiliar brunette, whose figure was very small and slender from where Zar was standing from, with a small oval face, a nose perfectly inclined with his features. His skin was rosy and slightly pale, possessing straight eyeprows and long lashes matched with almond shape eyes. A devilish green colour with golden specks around the iris. He was what the girls in Zar's village would call 'cute'. A prêté boy that would mostly be well known and gushed after. He was well mannered as he stood in that brown tunic given to them. ".... Anyways, right here- beside me, this is-" "Keanu, my name is Keanu Asteri. Come and eat. I made some food with what I could find laying around the house. I promise it won't taste terrible." A plastic smile on his face on his and lackluster eyes. His voice of course sounded pleasant and overjoyed at the fact of a new house mate but the emotions in his eyes couldn't be conveyed or better to say the lack of. He sat back down after Zarmeideus himself sat. He look at the other persons, the silhouette of a girl was made out at the far left, just her silhouette. Her hair was blocking her face, but her body was indeed very feminine from what could be seen, in a ratty brown dress. Slender shoulders and a thin waist with clear skin. Nothing else was shown, due to the fact that her figure was hunched over the edge of the table, and along with her face her hair covered her share of the food as well. She paid them no mind, probably, at this point no one knew what she was doing. The last person was that guy. Zar had already met this person, earlier in the day. He remebered clearly it was that blond, the one that pushed the girl to the ground. The one he clearly saved from the Lupel. From the looks of it the blond remembered him as well, openly staring with a face full of expressions. It was so easy to tell what he was thinking a child could do it. About him tho, the black haired youth could care less and focused only on the little cubs who whimpered up at him. No one else seemed to noticed them at his feet or the little noise they were making. Only paying attention to the cublings on the floor, conversation flowed through the right of the table. Between Keanu and Pyris, chattering loudly for all to hear. Clearly the social butterflies of the group. The ravenette didn't know what they were talking about but the topic seemed to have caused and uproar from that other blond. "Why won't they come down? Do they scorn and regard us unworthy of them? You clearly cooked this food for all of us, them included and yet you don't feel someho-" "Oh shut up." He was cut of mid-rant by a very pleasant voice. The soothing but dark voice of the silver vixen. "Are you that stupid?" Under the curtain of her hair, the girl's expression almost twisted. "Such a gullible child, hasn't your mother taught you not to be so daft. Tsk, and here I thought, your senses were in use." Her voice was immensely mocking, and the blond's dace twisted oh so noticeably and the two at the side quieted. The place hush. The girl got up silently, leaving, and the blond's fist clenched under the table. Pyris who was closest to Zar's right immediately leaned over once the girl was out of sight, "That was Amaris, she's so scary sometimes." The girl shivered, and thought of the silver girl's scary glare. "There's is nothing wrong with her being guarded, you should just let her be and stop complaining about her all the time." Keanu reprimanded lightly. He didn't dwell on it long there after and soon fell into another conversation with Pyris, completely forgetting what happened prior. Forgetting the poor blond to mull over  Amaris words. It was when the little cubs started to get more vocal did he finally start to feed them. Taking whatever on the table, of course it was meat. By the looks of it the meat was mixed with the other non-meat included. But it wasn't alot so.... It seemed completely reasonable to do that. Zarmeideus hand fed the little cublings, being so deep in conversation and thoughts the others didn't know what he was doing. Until Amaris came back. The table was small in the big room and because of the emptiness almost everything was visible. Zarmeideus's back was turned to the doorway so it was much easier for him to be spotted. Looking like he was hiding and feeding them, truthfully he wasn't even doing this discreetly. Openly feeding the little ones. Others seemed to take things into different perspectives. "Oh, so you seem to not want to eat the food. Prefering to feed it to your little mutts. How nice." Her tone was dead, flat. Mostly trying to get a reaction out of Zarmeideus, who regarded the girl like air. Just there, but not even imporrant enough to be paid attention to. She walked past him, no longer searching for that reaction like before but maybe somewhere in the dark there was a spark. But she sneered at him all the same. Her hair was dirty, and still hid most of her face. Going back to finishing the half empty plate of food. The area was silent again, this time no more conversation came to light and before long the ravenette left the scene. Leaving the four as they were taking along the cubs and rubbing their stuffed tums. Back in the large space, his new room, the cubs fell asleep. Zar pulled the mattress from the storage room then dusted it into the back yard and gently placed the yawning animals on the left side. Lien's lights streamed through the only window, the white coats glowing in the beautiful silver lights. He caressed them once more, thinking how he would tour the dark woods another day. Before going to sleep on a half empty stomach.
