When David entered the other room, Charlie was already there. He had the television on. He was watching the news.
“Bertha ran me out of the kitchen,” said David.
Charlie laughed. “She doesn’t like to be bothered when she is cooking,” explained Charlie.
“Are you the Murdoc who owns the car repair shop?” asked Charlie.
“Yes, sir, my dad and I run the shop. My brother, Mike is studying to be a veterinarian. He is working as an assistant with the local veterinarian while going to school. My youngest brother, Will, is in college and my mom is a book- keeper at the sewing factory.”
