“So is everyone rushing to solve the tome of Rasha ?” kalvmor ask the Secretary shacks her head “every so often, they get a party who take on the tome, but other than that, the quest has gone unsolved,” he sighs “well how do we connect the guild halls, “ he asks the Secretary perks up “you go to one of the capital guilds and take the quest to deliver the doors of travel. You then finish that quest with each guild town; then everyone can travel to the guild you placed a door at; there are a total of 200 guild halls, so you take that quest about 200 hundred times so far, no one has gone through the trouble ”The secretary says
“That sounds like it would be a pain to do,” he said “well, the quest offers a reward of 25gold each time you finish one, and every time you hit a milestone on the quest, you get an extra reward of 100gold each time you hit a milestone of five doors delivered,” she said “wow that’s about how much I get for a breeding quest,” he told the secretary nods “and to maintain your s class rank you must face at least one an S class treat when raises at least once a year, that only is waived if there is no S class quest available .” he rubs the bring of his nose.
“Let me guess, our Rank goes down when we don’t do a quest for long times,” the secretary nods “yes, you drop a rank each year you go without doing an equal rank quest, “ the Secretary says plainly “well that’s good to know,” Kalvmor said “well let’s get some rest then . thanks for all the information,” he says “well that’s my job, and you rest well.” The secretary says another person is behind him, waiting for their turn. The nine descript men pass him “yes, I would like to report I return the lost kitten,” the man said as Halvor left whit Rachel and melony after they finished with dinner in-game, the two of them logged out.
“I can’t believe we’re already s rank this soon,” Rachel says as they sit at the dining table and eat “that orc was hard. I wonder what happens if we die in-game, will we still be able to play. “ he asks she nods “I don’t think we should chance death, this game seems too realistic and I got the feeling if we die, will either be unable to play the game anymore or have to start over with new characters, I don’t think anything will happen to us in this world through, “you noticed that Melody seemed more powerful after we killed the orc, I think she leveled up,” he said Rachel nods.
“I’m worried about taking on the tome, “ he says. She nods “me to do you know what a lich,” she asks. He nods “well, in dungeon and dragons, it is a powerful undead wizard; I’m talking high-level spells, the only way to kill one is to smash its factory, a gem that holds its soul. The gem is usually the size of a softball or bigger,” she says “hey, I remember where I heard your in-game name at now that you mention it. Isn’t kalvmor the god of the afterlife? “ she asks “yeah, something like that, he judges the souls of the dead,” he says she laughs.
“Arnt you being a bit pretentious with that? After all, he is a god,” Rachel says “this from the woman who uses her real name as an in-game handle, “ he says, pointing his fork at her “fine, I won’t make fun of how much of a geek you are” he nods, and they finish eating, then take a shower and then make love in the bedroom. After that, he falls asleep his dreams are not troubling like usual. There are pretty lovely. He wakes up in a suitable mode the next day.
He kisses Rachel before heading out for his exercises. After that, he returns home, and Rachel works on the computer. He goes up to her and kisses her on the cheek “have fun in the game. Try not to get in over your head, ok,” Rachel says. He nods, goes to his rig, hooks himself up puts on the hood. And turns it on. He signs in and finds himself in front of the quest board. He looks for a quest “so how were you the day you talked to Rachel about things yet” she asks. He shakes his head.
“it does not feel right talking to her about that” rachel says “well we might as well take the delivery quest to the town of Rover then” he nods and take the quest that say to Rover, they report it to the guild secretary “oh good could you do an escort quest to , I haven’t put it on the bord yet because the request just came in, as the only S class in the area you have first right to this quest” he said “what are we escorting “Yah some back ground there this stone that attracts unevolved how ever it usaul stored in a shielding box how ever it is very difficult to move the container that seals it and keeps it safe , each guild house has has a sealing box just in case , your job will be to escort the attraction stone to the next guild hall, you might also know that these stone boast the effect of magic cast by mamono alone hence why we use them at all there also good for clearing an area of unevolved, as long as a skilled party is there where the stone is, they have no trouble dispatching the unevolved “ the secretary says
“warning though this can be any were from an E rack quest to an S rank quest, so transporting these stones is a good way to keep your guild rank up or raise your guild rank,” the secretary says firmly “our luck it will be an S rank quest,” he says the secretary shakes her head “actuals class quest is quite rare, seeing as you already did one, there it’s at the smallest odds that this quest will rise to S class, so your actual the best choice for this quest, the guild saying is god never through things at you beyond your skill, though it has been rather strange the past month, the worst thing that can happen is you attract some unknown unevolved, that is also why this quest pays at the same rate as a breeding quest regardless of what unevolved you face.” She says he looks to Rachel
“you’re the boss chef. It is up to you,” he sighs “fine, sign me up,” he says. The secretary nods “well, then head to the back of the guild, and the quest will start when they take out the stone, “ the secretary says. He nods, and they head to the back of the guild. They come to a wagon, and there’s a big black box. They get on the wagon, which two war horses pull. As soon as they’re in the wagon sets, guild members open the black box and pull out a stone the size of a basketball, radiating power and danger. The guild member loads it into the back of the wagon “may the gods watch over you,” she says.
He wipes the horse and starts the trip “here, Rachel, you’re the mamono use the stone to boast your magic,” kalvmor said, handing her the reins of the horse. “I’ll keep an eye out for monsters, “ he says there, riding for what seems like hours before something appears flying straight for them. And when they got close, he could see they were harpies. Not friendly ether these were some nasty, violent looking things “dam their flyers keep the pace up” he says “I will let me try a spell to bring them down when they get in range” Rachel says when they get to a spot in the sky, Rachel starts chanting he stands beside the stone with was were the harpies were heading. Melody starts chanting with Rachel, and when the harpies get into attack range, they finish their spell as they swop down, attacking him. Chains wrap around three out of the ten harpies, and the other seven are all hit with a wight ball of energy. They fall onto the wagon as their wings no longer work.
“Wind rise,” asking for speed, And he cuts each one drawing their ire at him. They hobble on their bird-like feat and try to scratch him. But he is too fast for them. He focuses on one for the moment, and with a blur of the blade, he lops one of the harpies head off; surprised by his effortless takedown of one of them, he nearly trips over himself, his subsequent attack cuts into the closest harpie, however, luck was not with him this time he was tall four of his attacks killing one harpy.
His speed wares of “wind rise, water rise” focused on defense and speed. Like the other time, he was surrounded by beds off the water. This confused the harpies and all their attack miss. He focuses on the next harpy. This time he is luckier with just two strikes. He takes out the next harpy. Switch fast, he latches the last two attacks at the same harpy, the whole time praying for success, which is quickly answered when the second blade strike beheads that harp, Rachel and Melony finish chanting again, and the last seven harpies all burst into a fire which quickly dies down, with only one harpy left standing as they move through the forest. With one more attack, the last harpy goes down.
