[Violet] I frowned at the gift—a bouquet of pink roses and a box of my favorite chocolates. I searched for a note between the stems and found it. "Lunch at our usual spot? I'll be waiting. V.B." The man hadn't given up. I gave both gifts to Zofia and asked her to return them to the sender. We no longer had any relationship. Returning the bouquet and chocolates would be my answer.
