Sensing the tension, Hugh quickly changed the topic.
"Dinner should be ready by now. Let's eat."
They all took their seats one by one.
Hugh and Sandra sat at the head, Jessica, persuaded by Sandra, sat next to William, with Daniel and Olivia opposite them.
During dinner, each had their own thoughts.
Daniel played the perfect boyfriend, attentive to Olivia. She smiled faintly, exchanging occasional words with him.
