Writer’s POV
“We can't just let her die here! Please, let’s help her,” Eva pleaded. But everyone turned their faces away.
“You damn wolves, vampires, and witches, you know she’s human, right? She's not as strong as us. Please, just this once.” Still, nobody responded.
Desperate, Eva ran to the principal.
Minutes later, nurses arrived and rolled Diana onto a stretcher, wheeling her to the school clinic.
Principal Mr. Odell followed closely behind.
“Her vitals are normal,” the school nurse whispered.
“Normal?” the principal replied, his voice clipped and precise. “She was struck by an Alpha at full strength. She should be dead.” He glanced at the worried Eva.
“Student, excuse the adults,” he said, and Eva reluctantly stepped away from Diana, closing the door behind her.
