Kelvin’s POV My phone buzzed on the nightstand with such violence it nearly launched itself into oblivion. Diana. Her name glowed on the screen like an emergency flare. I lunged for it, still half-lost in sleep, my fingers fumbling across the glass. My eyes were bleary, lids sticky with exhaustion. I hadn’t heard from her since yesterday. I’d assumed, hoped, she was resting.
