Emily was standing with her mother at the wedding rehearsal dinner that was arranged by the wedding planners they had hired. Seeing everything working out as the wedding planners showed them the details and as they rehearsed everything, Emily felt her throat closing up with emotion.
“I can’t believe my daughter is finally getting married,” Emily’s mother said with tears in her eyes. “And I am so happy that things worked out between you and Oliver.”
Emily hugged her by the side and wiped the tears from her eyes.
“Why are you crying, mom? Isn’t it a good thing?” Emily asked and her mother nodded.
