“Yes, Raymond,” Emily looked up from her laptop and invited Raymond inside her office.
Raymond Artair walked inside her office with a glint of triumph in his eyes and Emily wondered what was going on with him.
“Good Afternoon, Emily. I brought these cupcakes for you, assuming you like cupcakes,” Raymond said, and Emily nodded with a glance at them. During normal days she liked cupcakes but she couldn’t say she was feeling normal. She was more depressed than usual and nothing was working out. Her parent’s divorce had been finalized and she had found an apartment for her to live with her mother. But yet she wasn’t at peace.
She knew deep in her heart the reason for that, but she knew being in that relationship with Oliver wouldn’t have brought peace of mind either.
