Eleanor rushed inside the common restroom with Rickard, Bernard and the hotel staff in tow. Their panic was etched on their faces as they saw the lifeless body of Ruth lying on the tiled floor of the bathroom.
“Ruth!” Bernard shouted and rushed to her side.
Rebecca stood and stepped as she made way for the family. She glanced at Eleanor and hugged her, crying her heart out.
“I was searching for her when I found her here. She wasn’t feeling well,” Rebecca said, and Eleanor frowned.
“What did she say she was feeling like?” Eleanor said.
Rickard was bent around his mother trying to wake her up, but Ruth’s frail body was unmoving.
“She sounded depressed. I tried to cheer her up and left to get a drink for her. Then she disappeared. I kept searching for her and I found her here, like this
