“Emily, if you’re not feeling okay, we can go home,” Emily’s mother said, looking at her in worry.
Emily, who was annoyed by the headache she was still having, nodded absently and sighed. Despite having so many drinks, she still felt anxious when the wedding was announced. She regretted having that many drinks. They did nothing to help ease her anxiety, instead they created a scene.
“Let’s go,” Emily said and stood up.
Oliver quickly came in front of her and stopped her. “I will drop you at home.”
“It’s fine. We can go with our driver,” Emily said, and tried to walk past him.
Oliver grabbed her by the elbow and stopped her. “You are going to be my wife, Emily. I cannot just let you go by yourself, that too when you’re not feeling well,” Oliver said, making Emily stare at him in disbel
