Will You Choose Potential Love Over Family? Nina, Hazel, Harry
With Harry doubling down on his feelings for Hazel, it means that as much as he’d like to help Nina clear his debt, he can’t use Hazel to do so. She is sweet, attentive, and as much as Harry has this vibe that he may not have mobility, she could provide that…(Faaha, she notes she has been hurt before and he doesn’t want to add himself to the people who hurt her. Granted, he can’t top her last partner giving her HIV, seemingly by drugs, but why she try?)
The more of Hazel’s beauty, the more I wish they kept her death a secret. Because she is so badly want to invest in her yet knowing she is going to be dead, it stops me.
Why get invested in her and Harry when you know she is going to die? Which, I can tell you, I’ll probably never get over. For, in my mind, the better idea would have been Harry discovering Hazel has HIV and dealing with that.
Meanwhile, in the present, the police continue their investigation into Elizabeth’s murder but a surprising result from the autopsy could change everything.
Harry & Elizabeth heartwarming relationship, Harry and Elizabeth, continues to grow stronger as the two start spending more time together to work on the project. (The students have to make a social media profile, not for themselves but rather for their partner).
Harry and Elizabeth’s bond is soon tested, though, when Nina gets into a bind. He owes dangerous guys a lot of money, but he doesn’t have any.
Elizabeth had earlier revealed to Harry in confidence that her father, Alice, has a safe of incriminating evidence about his shady business dealings. Harry captured what she said on his camcorder, having not turned it off after filming something else for their project.
Nina sees the footage and convinces Harry to steal the documents, so he can blackmail Alice and get the money he needs. Ultimately, though, Harry can’t bring himself to do it because he likes Elizabeth. An enraged Nina tells Harry that Elizabeth will never like him back. Determined to see her boyfriend succeed in seducing Maryam.
Faaha tells Jack to choose Maryam as his partner for the project. Out of options since Harry already picked Elizabeth, Maryam reluctantly agrees.
Jack wants to work on it at Maryam’s house, but she insists they do it during school hours. She knows her parents won’t approve of Jack coming over.
Jack, ever the pompous jerk, shows up anyway. Maryam’s father, Yusef, tells him to leave, but Jack insists he has a right to stay since his father is paying for Maryam’s education. That doesn’t over well, and Maryam eventually gets Jack out the door.
He apologizes the next day but Maryam is in no mood to hear it. They’re done the project yet, though, so she later tracks him down to finish it. Jack turns on the charm, and Maryam starts to let her wall down a bit.
The next day, they go to Jack’s house to keep working. As they’re bantering continue, it seems that (shocker) Jack may be starting to fall for Maryam, after all. Jack isn’t returning her calls, so Faaha comes over. She spots a shirtless Jack pretending like he’s going to drop a laughing Maryam into the pool. As Faaha walks away, revenge definitely seems to be on her mind. So far, Maryam, Jack and Faaha’s storyline feels like the plot of several rather misogynistic.
Thomas and Omar meet again for a d*******l but recognize that they have other unfinished business. Though both boys feel nervous and awkward, they find a remote place to hook-up. However, after a minute or so, Thomas wants to stop. Omar does stop, but he wants to know what’s wrong. Thomas says he feels uncomfortable and abruptly leaves.
Omar sends messages on Grindr asking if Thomas is okay, and Thomas eventually responds a few days later. He doesn’t want to buy drugs anymore. (His parents found his stash.) But he does want to see Omar again.
Unfortunately, Omar now has his own problems at home. Maryam gets in trouble after Yusef discovers she lied to him about going to Jack’s house, so Omar is worried about the consequences of keeping secrets of his own from their parents. He responds back to Thomas that he’s busy, leaving Thomas confused and frustrated.
These three make up quite a bizarre and disturbing love triangle. Amy and Daniel are together. Daniel suggests they should go play a strange prank, and Amy happily agrees.
Richard (Christian) is not subtle about his interest in Amy, so Amy pretends to be interested in him. The two hook up at Elizabeth’s party, and Daniel watches. Amy knows Daniel is in the room, but Christian doesn’t. (Yeah, it’s super uncomfortable and weird.) Daniel is starting to feel insecure and wants Amy to stop. Amy carries on anyway, arranging another hook-up with Christina. Daniel walks in on them, though, and reveals the ruse. Christian is thoroughly humiliated and storms off.
Amy is furious, too, with Daniel for one of two reasons. Either, she’s just annoyed that Daniel cut the prank short, or she was actually starting to like Christian back. She did seem to feel guilty when Christian found out. However, she’s also proved herself to be a good performer, so she could’ve been faking it.
No one has been ruled out yet. Harry being covered in blood doesn’t exactly make him look innocent. Amy, for what it’s worth, believes Jack is the police’s prime suspect. Jack is singing Elizabeth’s praises in the interrogation room.
In a flashback, Jack comforts Elizabeth when she brings up the pain of being HIV-positive. While hugging her and kissing her cheek, Jack has Elizabeth recite a kind of mantra: (through the good times, bad times and the times that we always together).
At that moment, his love for his sister becomes apparent. However, Jack is prone to losing his temper, so he shouldn’t be ruled out as a suspect.
On the other hand, the detective revealing that Elizabeth was pregnant at the time of her death. The detective assumes Jack didn’t know. However, his facial expression doesn’t change when he hears the news, so there’s definitely a chance he did.
Even if Jack wasn’t aware, though, someone clearly was. The pregnancy is connected to the murder.
