I hear Henry's startled shout, close and panicked, as the world tilts into chaos. "Logan!" The name is torn from my throat, a desperate plea lost in the roar of nature's fury. But he's gone—swallowed by the rushing wall of earth that engulfs us all. We're hurtling down the slope, powerless, my heart screaming Logan's name over and over, though he cannot hear. Branches snap against my body, leaving stinging lines of pain in their wake. Henry's fingers clasp mine, a lifeline amidst the madness. His blue eyes meet mine for a fleeting second before we are plunged into the cold, murky depths of the slide's heart
